I hope we have some really dumb trade ideas presented here.

I've never been a fan of ference being the oilers captain... He has the experience and knowledge to be a decent leader but in my eyes you need a captain who can inspire every type of player .... Captains have to be able to produce offensively, be responsible defensively, hit , block shots , fight , be vocal in the room ... Basically you have to be able to fire up your offensive players , defensive players, your grinders , and your tough guys ...I just can't see guys like hall or RNH saying to themselves that they need to be more like ference ...just my opinion

OILERS ARE LOSING ON PURPOSE.

MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN THE ORGANIZATION KNOW THIS.

THAT IS WHY NO ONE CARES ABOUT FANS AND MEDIAS B!TCH!NG AND WHINNING!

LAST TRADE THE OILERS MADE WAS TO POKE FUN AT THE MEDIA AND THE FANBASE.

NEXT YEAR THEY WILL REALLY START COMPETING.







REMEMBER NO FREE AGENTS SUPERSTARS WILL COME AND SIGN HERE, SO THE OILERS TOOK THE PATH OF DRAFTING AS MANY OF THEM AS POSSIBLE.

Schultz needs to be sheltered. He hasn't been. It's a big coaching problem.

There's even an argument that Hall, Eberle and Nuge need to be sheltered. What was spending all their time, effort, and cap space on improved secondary scoring worth if Nuge is still the 2nd highest ice time of all Fs in the league? We still lean on them way way too much.

If things are tough going, they opt to double-shift the top line as opposed to putting Perron-Arco-Purcell out there to try to change up the look and then sending the top line out to feast on a 2nd or 3rd line matchup? We still get production out of the top line, but we get a lot of kid cowboy moves in the process when they feel like they need to put the team on their back every shift.

But in no way did we trade an "NHL center" to make room for Draisaitl. We traded an NHL forward but seriously any one of our top 6 wingers could have been placed at center and been as successful as Gagner was at playing the center position.

There is no accountability with this team, no rewards for hard work either. How do we expect to have a hardworking, blue collar team when laziness isn't punished and effort isn't rewarded?
