I barely watched the game last night. Kept looking at the score then walking out of the room. Should not have done that on a Ted Nolan team.

I like how they stood up for each other and took no crap

if there was ever a descent 5-0, this was the one.

I love how you've not given up on this goofy (frank) as your persona. I bet he's a real star at the auto parts warehouse he works at.

CORRECTION: I picture him working with children. He plays an elf at the mall this season.

Our defense is going to be amazing.

Our lines 2-4 are going to be good two way players that can chip in offensively

With McDavid or Eichel.... We will win cups.

Nolan is getting this young team to come together and fight for one another. Something Ruff lost, and Rolston never came close to doing.

The future is bright

After watching these past two games I will say this as a lightning fan, your team has a bright future ahead of them. Ted Nolan is teaching them to take no ones poop and how to win hockey games. every team needs to develop a style for how to win, for us its a speed game, but i can tell you now you guys are going to be a royal pain in the ass to play against in a couple years time.

(assuming you don't trade myers) your top 4 D could be fantastic as soon as next season. i fully believe Zadorov-Ristolinen(spelling?) could be the next keith-seabrook. Ristolainen being the skilled guy and Zadorov just punishing everyone who comes near the crease. plus myers-gorges isn't too shabby either, especially if myers can find his rookie of the year form.

imo you guys are prob 2 years out of the playoffs. i still don't think there's enough offensive skill yet, even with Mcdavid or Eichel i feel like you will need 1 other highly drafted offensive player to really take off. Trust me though, in a couple years this team might become the next incarnation of the Boston Bruins. tough, physical, and an all around pain in the ass to play against, but with the skill to back up their bullish style of play.

A while back when we were losing pathetically i had mentioned that i expected losses, but with Nolan as coach, i didn't expect those "roll over and die" losses....i was expecting games like last night. Does it look like a scene out of slapshot? Sure. But its much more entertaining. And in a few years, i hope to see a couple quick goals after a line fight and we're back in the game. Hoping that kind of effort ignites the scoring talent we're supposed to have some day.

3rd team involved in the so called 3 team deal is the Flyers. That can change.

Thanks! There were some posters in the last few months here saying how the East is going to change a lot, with the coming up of Tampa, Buffalo's (hopeful) bright future, etc, that these two teams will be contenders for years to come.

And about the bolded, they did just take a center #2 overall this past draft.

The Oilers mgmt. are (frank)ing morons. A trade for some D and goaltending are like 3-4 years overdue.

Goaltending isn't the issue.

Defense is, fix that and the goaltending will come around.
