Nice post, Bill, and I'm looking forward to your article on Mikael Renberg! Easily one of my favorite Flyers as he was so much fun to watch.... |

Marsh, who spent the night in the hospital, recounted for HockeyBuzz how he learned of the Hextall goal while still in the hospital and thought he must still be have been delirious until he finally saw a replay and knew it was for real. - bmeltzer
I hadn't read that blog, but I can see where Marshy could be thinking, "Jeez, I'm worse off than I thought."

You can't get your gameday chant in on Saturday, yet here you are on page one without a game at stake.

Oh joy, we get to have 30 pages of debate about a guy who was benched for an entire third period in an AHL game. All hail Peter White v2.

Bill,
Do you think Hagg is a lock to play for Sweden in the WJC this season (I believe he's still eligible). |

He's not a bust. He just is not an NHL player. That simple. |

I'd rather debate about a guy with a lick of offensive talent than for people to come up with valid reasons why Chris VandeVelde and/or Blair Jones are in the lineup. Hell, I'll take Jay Rosehill over those two. |

Ok.. We can debate if Vinny will be back in the line up.
I think he should have a shot. I am sure they have worked the phones to exhuastion looking for deal. May as well play him

Lol, I was hoping for him to be a good player but even in the playoffs last season I was not really impressed either. Sure, he had a couple of goals but for being a small player he sure does lack the speed he needs. |

A "lick" of offensive talent, with skating, defensive ability, grit, and work ethic not worth "spittle". (see what I did there?)

I'm curious when he gets back in too. Seems like something is up there. Weird that he has been scratched for 3 straight games and yet Umberger continues to make big mistakes. |

Yeah, but where? Its quite a conundrum. In order to be effective he needs to be in the top 9, preferably top 6......but hasn't played well enough to be anything more than a 4th liner. Right now he is Akeson with a pedigree.

Right now, he's Akeson with a pedigree, a long-term deal, a high cap hit, and a NMC. |

Sanheim's first assist of yesterday's game was a secondary helper on 2014 Flyers sixth-round pick Radel Fazleev's 11th goal of the season. On the Hitmen's version of Teddy Bear Toss Night, the stuffed animals for charitable donation rained down from the stands and Fazleev celebrated with a moonwalk.
I hope this Fazleev kid makes it. Everything I've read about him makes him sound like he'd be fun to watch. |

I would give him a shot on 3rd line and on 2nd PP. He is a better option on PP than #18... ( that is just not right)
