Here's hoping we don't look too terrible this game. The Bolts could be buying from us at the deadline. |

Okay, maybe not the Bolts. That lineup is stacked. I wonder if they'd be interested in moving one of their two 1sts tho... |

Might be willing to toss the Flyers a pick for a spare defenseman. After their top 5, it's a little thin, with Gudas out. |

Pretty good read from Frank Seravalli about Mason's workload despite the nagging injuries. - Jsaquella
Hextall said yesterday. "We had reassurance from our medical staff that he was fine. Again, this injury is independent from any bump or bruise that he's had."

Agreed that Tampa could come after a solid 5-7 D guy like Shultz or L. Schenn. I don't see them wanting any forwards.
Sadly I don't see VL or RJ going anywhere. VL has the better chance of the two.
In my dreamy dream world we trade VL and RJ, eat 2 M and a prospect for Mike (I'm a healthy scratch) Richards (helping replace the injured/ill Pearson/Taffoli). Richards then becomes our 3rd C and Coots moves to the #2 spot. Richards promises not to give every girl in Philly lazy disease, only some. And we live happily ever after. |

The whole thing with Mason and his recent injuries has been odd, in so far as, the reports of folks on hand make it seem like the injury looked bad, yet the MRIs come back clean. So, if you combine the clean MRIs with a stated desire of Mason to (unwisely) keep playing, despite the appearance of something wrong, systemically, and there is going to be a problem. Mason should probably have been saved from himself if that was the case.
There was no need to start him Thursday AND Saturday afternoon right away. |

so on top of a new d-corps next season i'd be real happy with complete overturn of the medical staff too. im sorry but star goalie is said to be ok after a series of injuries goes out and cant get through the first period? someone needs to fall on the sword fir that. |

instead of it being murphy's law it needs to be Flyer law. |

Whenever he played, I saw more physical play than this laughable, nice, soft, great guy defense we have now...[/img] |

Just some conversation. With each game it seems we are getting more and more in seller mode. Watching B. Schenn I am not a hater. But I do wonder if you would be better off trying to get a more natural winger if that is what you need. Watching the Wild last night, I wonder if you would be better off trading Schenn for a winger, and just as an example, Nino Niederreiter. Both are same age but I didn't know if that might help the team better moving forward. I don't know if it would but was just wondering. Any player would have to be same age or younger. i don't want a 30 year old vet. |

He obviously has been dealing with something of late. He missed time with an injury, tweaked something during a game, had to leave another practice early and then came the Boston game which lead to a two week absence.
It's not really overall usage, it's usage since the back injury. They've had a game every other day, outside of one two say break that immediately followed a back to back. They have had one day where there wasn't a game or practice, and he's played every single game.
