It is a great list and a very daunting task when you consider the scope of popular music in terms of both variety and time. Good for you for giving it a go and filling that painful gap in the season we call the all star break.

I'm going to go blow the dust off my copy of Murmur and give it a listen. I don't even know how many years it has been. I saw REM tour Monster many years ago but my interest in anything they released after that was luke warm at best.

And I was 100% certain you were going to make NMH's In the Aeroplane Over the Sea your #1 album.

I love that album. I probably should have found a place for it. More of a massive oversight on my part, but what would I cut? I dunno.

I might even like On Avery Island better - definitely two of the all time best.
