Smith needed to take more pucks off the head...
Coming off a right knee injury suffered on Jan. 10 against Boston and dealing with the remnants of the flu, Mason had not had a bonafide practice in weeks. Tuesday's morning skate was the third day he skated.
Yeah, I would have started Mason as well. He's not that important to this franchise's future. |

Smith made some unreal saves for the Yotes. Man. Of course tonight's the night he stands on his head. He's been dreadful this season.
Luckily it didn't bite em in the ass.
This game reminded me A LOT of the team last year. These were the kind of games they'd battle in and win. Most of the times, this season, they'd be hopeless in a game like tonight's. |

It never ceases to amaze me how bad the Flyers can be at the beginning of games. It seems like only the Oilers have to pull their goalies more than Philly.
I guess I should be happy that we won but it's the damn Coyotes and it took a shootout. |

Winnipeg with a e coli watch for the whole city, its water supply in particular.
Having to boil water for our patients until management got case loads of the bottled stuff. |

He's a dirty dude that runs away when people challenge him. Is a little funny because its obviously to reactionary to the Rinaldo thing. After employing Neal, Cooke and now this fool pens don't have much ground to stand on imo. |

i think theyre really looking to just say (frank) it were tired of having our stars poop on night in and night on. but im not exactly one for renegade vigilante revenge. i really dont think it works.
and it just adds more of this bullpoop to the league. |

And in any Event if that's the message one is looking to send Max isn't a good candidate. The whole thing is dumb. Guys like this aren't helpful. Getting asshats like Rinaldo out of the league are. |

i wish we could just round them up and ship them all off to the echl.
i dont know. maybe he will in some way annoy someone into taking a penalty, or just agitate another star player like players try to do to crosby. but id feel better about it if the guy could actually play good defense in the process, like a dubinsky.
even objectively, i just think its a knee jerk move that has more of a chance of causing negative outputs for the team than positive.
and based on my own personal opinion, he is a hard guy to root for. whereas goc was an easy one. |

Mason has looked locked in during the last two shootouts, good to see him come in cold and play as well as he did - Jsaquella
Isn't it nice having a goalie in net that you can feel somewhat confident in when it goes to a shootout?? Man, the last couple years there, a shootout meant a sure loss for them. Thanks Steve!
I just want to say, also - beautiful shootout goal by Simmer. He showed some true talent and patience on that play! |
