Is this Benning feeling the pressure?

Was just reading the Vancouver Sun and Brad Ziemer said Kenins was 6foot4, does he not read hb for fact checking?

I personally wouldn't put too much stock in WJC numbers. Players can really pad their stats against some of the weaker teams. I think it was pretty telling that Forsling's play struggled as the competition got better.

that being said i don't think the deal is a make or break for either team. Both guys are likely bottom pairing D-men who have the chance to QB your PP. I like the fact that Clendening isn't too afraid of the physical stuff, whereas Forsling will probably never have that component as a part of his game

Cody Hodgson, Jordan Schroeder, and Anton Rodin were all in the top 5 in scoring during the tournament. Which proves your point.

Although I still think Hodgson can be a good player in this league.

well i guess that trade might just put to rest the rumors of a Kassian for Bartkowski swap, a trade i wouldn't be a fan of at all. I also read that the Canucks are no longer considering trading Markstrom... looks like Eddie Lack's days are numbered, and he had just gotten some sweet Canucks pads too!

I caught an interview with Lack on TSN1040 yesterday. He said all the right things: he loves it here and wants to stay, but understands if the organization wants to go a different way.

He also said that, despite the recent losses, there's no sense of "panic in the room" like there was last season. He says the guys are still confident that they will see this through and make the playoffs.

A little sense panic might just be what's needed.

What do you expect Clendening to be capable of/bring immediately to the Canucks, it looks like is a really good D-man at the Ahl level, but can he bring that at the nhl?, and if not how far away? Will Willie let him QB the 2nd unit?

Didn't like the Bartkowski option when Canucks might be able to get him for less in the off season when Bruins are looking to sign other guys...
