Perhaps the trap is actually being forced to watch a Leafs game?

Hopefully the game is not as crazy as the last time these teams got together.

Flyers have been a good team at home this season (14-7-3, with positive 5-on-5 goal differential and a 109.4 special teams index). Their confidence on home ice is sky high right now. The Flyers are coming off a win against the team had the NHL's best road record heading into it. So, yes, it's a trap game for Philly.

Now, when the Flyers have been on the road this season... well, it's sort of a trap game scenario for the other side.

Bill- I'm happy for the 3 game run, I really am. I like the fact we beat up on Pittsburgh and then beat 1 bad team and 1 mediocre team. But should we really be excited by this. We used to expect multi game runs. Not be thankful for squeaking out a few W's to crappy teams. All that runs like this do is drop our draft potential. Not saying we should tank. Just saying I hope we are able to dump some bad contracts at the TDL so we can move forward with our young D prospects and maybe pick up a need in FA this summer. We need some space relief.

Hopefully the game is not as crazy as the last time these teams got together.

Last change is so important to this team.

That is true. I would like to see the Flyers come out and jump all over them. A couple goals and maybe a quick fight/physical play to get crowd into game.
This Leafs team can get rattled. On the other hand they are long overdue to breakout. I just hope it isn't tonight

Agreed. If they can get out to a lead, I think the Leafs confidence is so low that they may fold like superman on laundry day. Regardless, we need these 2 pts in our climb to mediocrity!

Thanks Bill. What is your opinion of Straka so far? He recorded his first point the other night, and I didn't see any glaring mistakes.
The Phantoms loss makes me question what they were thinking. I just hope that they aren't picking up the bad habits of the Flyers. If so, is this the next generation's mind set? Better put up those cell phones, and start focusing on hockey.
Anyway, I hope that Straka does well at this level. I also, hope that McD can pick up his game tonight. I don't know if it's new team jitters or he is just having an off season this season.

Decent numbers at home for sure. Regardless they are still 10 pts or so out of a playoff spot. I just think its rare that this team doesn't give the effort. Theyre just plain not good enough when they lose
