Just curious in regards to value of what we could receive from us trading both 2nd rounders packaged and both late 1st (packaged) how far could we move up? or what type of player |

I have to think that on some level the wings are blowing smoke. Why wouldn't you deal your prospects for someone who fills a signficant need, is young and locked down long-term at an affordable rate? |

I knew it wouldn't be the Wings, maybe that changes but they won't part with anything. The Kings won't move Toffoli for Myers either so.................. Can't get Myers without giving up to get him and Murray doesn't have to move him.
Good read Michael. |

last year murray tried trading all of his second rounders to move into the first but found no takers...
if he were to try it again at the draft, maybe Pittsburgh would bite...it seems like their pipeline's getting depleted |

I guess the conversation always moves to Myers eventually, so why not start there.
I have to agree with you that I don't think he gets moved before the deadline.
As for the off season, we will have to wait and see. At least at that point TM will know where the draft picks are slotted. What other GM's are asking for in terms of moving up? And probably a better feel for who he can sign as a FA?
At the end of the day, I think we will be talking about Myers as a Sabre for a few more years. |

In that sense I would think that they might be an example of a team that would want to move. New Jersey's system was rated at the bottom - if you were them would you move #10ish for our spare 1's and maybe a 2? |

thx...although I wouldn't count them out, without the wings' mantha or larkin coming back, I can't see murray doing a deal with them...and Detroit hasn't got to where they are the last three decades by panicking...
that being said, myers on the wings would be a pretty good fit, imo |

Mantha can't seem to figure out the AHL as of yet, I was told they wanted a NHL ready young player for next year. IMO Mantha and or Larkin aren't there yet. |

Kinda what i was thinking especially with all the hype for this years draft I dont think many teams in the 8-18 range are looking to move back.
We managed a 2nd for gorges last summer id be interested to see what caliber forward we could pull with 2nds |

Thats strange? It only took 2 of our second rounders for Snow to move back into the first round in the last draft. |

My guess is Murray was trying to work his way back into the middle of the 1st round. They really liked Larkin |

I don't care either way if he stays or goes, but does anyone else just not want Myers to go to DET? |
