Is Cousins' future with the Flyers so dim that, although he made the blog title, the write up didn't include him?

Seems like a million years since our last game.. ugh..I fully expect that we'll come out sluggish tomorrow night after such a long layoff and Mase will have to completely bail us out. Got to keep the ball rolling if we even want to be in a discussion for a playoff spot. I can't believe that LA couldn't score 1 damn goal vs the crapitals.. thanks for the help guys! |

I saw the Jets scratched Kane. Kassian seems like the odd man out in Vancouver. I wonder what cost for these guys would be as I think both bring elements the Flyers could use moving forward. |

I'd love Kane, Kassian is a big guy with some potential, but he's also not a very disciplined player. I also am not sure he's got the hockey sense to ever be much more than a 3rd liner |

I see that a little but i also think it is situations. He has skill and I think he could be like Matt Beleksy. I think he could move around the lineup because he also brings an edge to his game.
I would like kane because I would love to see him with Couturier. If that first line is staying intack I want to get Couturier better wings. His speed would be nice and he also isn't terrible in his own zone. |

He has the skills to be more, but I doubt the smarts. He's just not a guy I'd be overly eager to trade assets for.
I'd put Kane with Giroux and Voracek, and watch him score 40 goals |

I wonder if there would be any way to make a big splash. Something where you were able to get Kane and Bogosian. Maybe move 20161st rounder, Coburn, Read and say Hagg.
I don't know. |

I'd be much more interested in Kane if he's in the right head space. He's got higher end skills, and it would be very interesting to see him with G and Jake.. wow... I agree on Kassian. He doesn't impress me at all. |

Exactly. If we got Evander Kane (take significant assets to do so despite his shortcomings), it'd be to fill the hole at left wing on the top line.. It'd be out of sight. |

Winnipeg would want more than that I suspect. They'd probably be wanting Schenn or Cooter and Coburn. |

I think it's too much for both of those guys. I think you would give up too much for those two players; however, I would have interest in Kane depending on the asking price.

If it's me, I'd put Kane with G and Simmer and have Schenn Couts and Voracek.
I like the idea of having two solid lines instead of one bull line., but I don't think you could really go wrong, either way.
Edit:
Then again, I would expect Winnipeg gets one of Simmonds, Schenn or Couts. If I'm them, I don't settle for anything less than one of those three plus some other picks/prospects.

Kane has broke 50 points and 20 goals once. Giroux makes guys better but I think 40 goals is a huge stretch. |

I can't see why we'd split up G and Jake. Adding Kane would just make that line absolute hell to deal with. |

G and Jake will not be broken up so long as the two of them remain top 5 in the league in points.

He had 17goals inf 48 games which expanded to 82 games is approx. 29 goals. I think he would have a serious change of scoring 40 goals with G and Jake (although, as I said earlier, I wouldn't do it that way). |

So what that they are top 5 in the league in points? Where are the flyers in the standings? Has it helped them at all?
I'd rather take 10 points away from G and J and put the flyers in a better position in the standings. To me it's about getting better as a team, and at 5v5 which I think that does. |

If the team were to land a big forward via trade I think I'd sooner go for a play making winger with some sniping ability for Coots. Our top line regardless of who plays with G and Jake is one of the absolute hottest in hockey. They can't be on the ice at all times though so I'd like to see a more offensively dangerous 2nd line if possible. |
