Back to the Hodgson buyout.....

Just when were the Cody Hodgson golden days? We picked him up because of potential, not production. He hasn't come close to what we hoped for and he is seriously regressing. He will never, ever be a top 6 forward. Why would we want this clown around in the hopes that he will be a useful third line winger? We have scores of third line wingers.

Im disappointed for Harrington. He doesnt get to write a slam piece on the tank since they didnt break the record. I needed a laugh.

Looks like Hodgson for Kassian didn't work out for either team...

Also from the last blog

"Not blaming Nolan but with who could have been the best goalie of all time Nolan went 73-72-19."

So Hodgson can be bought out for 1/3 of his salary since it would be before he turns 26.

Did anyone else see Friedman's "thinking out loud" about a deal centering around Myers to Montreal for Zach Fucale? Is "No Thanks" too polite?

I think he plateaued at "disgusting."
AKA: cutting & pasting the best of the best, most asinine quotes, from previous articles comments sections and making an "article" about it...

Let me guess. There's not a coach in the world that could do anything with that roster either.

it was more of a pick up out of need...on the part of both teams...the 'nucks wanted a rugged winger, the sabres a center...

bam...

as for the potential/production thing...it hasn't worked out this season, but as I pointed out, he lead the team in points last season and was second behind vanek the season before

"Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery for Kyle Okposo of the NY Islanders.

Despite my selfish wishes for the Isles to fail and miss the playoffs, never would I wish for it to come at the expense of a sight-threatening injury like Okposo's detached retina or any other career-threatening injury."

Good man Mike and nice blog.

Of course. They were built to lose like this. Its why I wasnt worried about that 10 in 13 streak.

Were you the one debating with me over the summer that we'd have 200+ goals because of Stafford, Hodgson, Ennis, Stewart, Moulson all being 20 goal scorers? Cant remember who that was, but man that prediction was awfully optimistic.

is that 1/3 what counts against the cap?
or what we pay him?
