Tim Panaccio: Timonen, Hextall Transcript on His Return

The only thing that troubles me about this is that the Flyers need to take some sort of action -- whatever form that is regarding roster spot and salary -- in order to accommodate his return. If Timonen was going to be around next season, then I could maybe see justifying whatever move that is - trade, demotion, etc. But for a just a few months of a non-playoff season (likely), the I wonder what the real benefit is. Trade bait as a rental, perhaps, but that's not a guarantee.
I get it that Timonen is a loyal warrior and all, and from purely a fan standpoint it will be great to see him pull on the jersey again, but we still have to think of the team first.
