Stick tap Derek Roy and the Edmonton Oilers who are now mathematically eliminated from the McEichel Race. - garth
How are they already mathematically eliminated? Especially since there is a lottery. You continue to be wrong blog after blog. |

I think edmonton will be fine if they wanna draft hanifin. Arizona will take mcdavid, eichel, or strome. just dont pass the leafs and they should be fine.
Cant see the avs having any interest in hodgson, at least with his current contract. I still think he gets bought out, somebody signs him for 3 million over 2 years, and he looks like a decent second line winger (20/45). But the total package he brings isnt worth the almost 5 million average salary he will make for the rest of the contract. |

ok to all the sabres fans out there i would like to ask you a serious question
how can any of you actually read and support this guy?
every time i have pop'd in here to read one of his "blogs" in hope of gaining some sort of insight to your team i am bombarded with Garths nonsensical crap and man im a leafs fan and you all know how that goes when its comes to blogs and team insight
i am not one of those fans that hates the sabres i actually would love it if both the sabres and leafs were in the playoffs, would make for a much better time with the "friendly" trash talk.
anyways good luck guys i hope that next year between the two teams is a
much better season

We don't listen to Garth. He has no clue what he's talking about. We only come in here for the same reasons you did, to tell him how wrong he is. I mean... c'mon Grigerenko, Zadorov, and a 1st for RoR, get real. If Murray ever made that deal he can pack his bags and get the hell out of town. RoR is nothing but Girgensons with two more years of NHL experience. He's a solid player but not worth the price to obtain him, not worth anywhere near 7 mil/yr, and we already have enough center depth.

I'm sorry, but this O'Reilly talk is insane. It isn't (and shouldn't!) happen for the Sabres. You want Ryan O'Reilly making 7M+ on the third line? What?
Let's say the money makes sense, which it doesn't. You want to give up a first, Grigorenko, and Zadorov? Those are three first round picks. That's insane. No way does O'Reilly fetch that kind of return knowing the money he wants and the term.
You don't build your team around O'Reilly. If you pay O'Reilly that now you're having major cap issues 3 years down the line. |

Completely agree and despite what he writes it seems garth actually garth seems to think hes less than girgensons. In this article he places ROR as 3rd line behind girgs....and no mention of Reinhart who will be our 2nd line center in 2 years. Who gives up that much and then pays a 3rd line center $7 mill a year for 7 years? Ill answer that. Someone who doesnt want to sign any of our young talwnt coming off of entry level contracts.

Garth wants to write for the NY Post.
The ROR deal is ridiculous.
If he was our GM he would be fired for
That kind of deal. Just stupid.
