Damn! You beat me to the punch! I laughed out loud at Ek's post about Babcock handling goalies. Maybe what he meant to say was Babcocok is great at handling goalies when there is a clear #1.

Johnston is far from the problem.

Johnston is just a little female dog. Players do what they want with no consequences. Johnston's attitude is the same as Bylsmas where he won't ever get mad, speak his mind, or never holds players responsible.

Bylsma had to deal with more injuries last season and arguably a weaker roster. He got more of out the team. Not saying I want Disco Dan back, but if MJ misses the playoffs, he's out even if Babcock goes elsewhere.

I don't know what people expect... how do you expect your forawrds to perform well if you don't have defensemen capable of moving the puck up to them? Letang, Erhoff and Maatta being out is HUGE.

I know... its gotten a bit underplayed since those 3 being out are not as tangible as the underwhelming forward production.

I don't get the babcock craze. I don't think he's that great of coach. I think any coach could have won what he has won with the teams he had, atleast in the nhl. In Anaheim he rode a hot goalie to the finals. In 2008 the wings were stacked. Obviously, the Canadians are the powerhouse internationally, so gold is pretty much expected in the Olympics. In fact I believe he cost the wings the cup in 09. all in all, I almost am excited for him to leave.

All I can say is if Mike Babcock doesn't sign with the Leafs I would take Dan Bylsma as a second choice any day of the week.

Him having the hype around him might be the best things for the Pens, two back to back coaches that were never in the NHL, superstars eventually tuned both out it seems.
