Screw the Flyers. Go Sens.

Let's give them the 6-5 win to end the season. Jake with all our tallies. Sound fair?

Hell yeah, I decided a few games ago I'll be a sens fan for the rest of the year. I'd prefer Pittsburgh to miss the show, but would be happy with boston missing out if the pens make it

Edmonton 4, Los Angeles 2

They could still make it, but I do not believe the Kings will be defending their title

I'm not reading Chris Stewart as being a top 10 to 15 UFA anywhere. Even Mike Fisher is making lists ahead of him. I think this is good news if it's possible to bring him on board at a reasonable price.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/h...ke-green-justin-williams/

From my understanding Wayne Simmonds and Chris Stewart are not only good friends but went over seas together specifically with the idea of playing on the same team. I think he'd add much needed toughness and grit to this line up that I find lacking. His scoring touch isn't what it once was but he's never been on an overly offensive team. While Ryan has done a pretty good job in replacing Simmonds on the first unit of the PP, I think Stewart would be a nice addition to our pretty pathetic second unit. Stewart has also seen time on the left side in Buffalo if need to anywhere within this line up.

A 27 year old Chris Stewart is a guy I'd really like to add at a reasonable price.

I still like Zach Kassian who is newly 24 years old in a bottom 6 role in the right deal. I'd really like to see this team get bigger and tougher to play against.

interesting stat:

all eastern conference playoff teams and those in the wildcard race - pitt, boston, and ottawa - have a positive goal differential. then florida on down to buffalo all have negative goal differentials. same exact scenario in the west. doesn't always work out so cleanly like that.

another interesting stat. if you take 12 of the flyers OT/SO 18 losses and turn them into wins, which would STILL leave them with 6, they'd be in a wildcard spot right now.

OT/SOs matter. there's no denying it.

want to know another cool stat? If you had 1 goal and I had 7 more than you, it'd be 8 to 1...

what you're failing to recognize here, as would every other single reader of his post, through not fault of yours or theirs, is that this is an inside joke that goes back decades.

i'm the only one that gets it. as it should be.
