LA Kings barricading their doors shut so they don't get a tongue lashing from Sutter.

Read on Twitter that Shinkaruk had another goal and assist the other night.

Pretty respectable 30 points in 70 games for his first season in the Pro's.

Hopefully if he has a strong off-season and trains with Horvat he could get a few call ups around the Mid-point of Next year.

Even more impressive if you look at the last quarter of the season. He really has turned up lately apparently.

And most were writing him off half way through the season. I'd still give him another year or two in the AHL.

With the hype and eventual disappointment of all Canuck draft picks for the past decade, can you really blame people jumping the gun on the bust label?

Very happy for Shink and I'm glad he got the opportunity to play with skilled line-mates at the end of the season.

I still think Gaunce's 28 points and consistent play has been the most encouraging of all the Utica young players this year. He has put up points while playing in the bottom 6 and every game I have watched I have been impressed with his strong defensive play and good work along the boards. He is the AHL version of Horvat imo, not as shiny perhaps but looks very much like a future NHLer from what I have seen.

Playing Devil's advocate here. But that leaves Bo as the only young kid getting playoff experience. Unless Lack or Kenins(if he plays) count.

Eddie Lack is 27 years old and may not even be here past next season as a pending UFA.

I wonder if Kenins will play much, WD benching him in 3rd periods is telling.

I watch quite a bit of junior hockey, those few that were writing him off clearly aren't aware of his talent. He was coming off of a hip surgery as well and likely didn't have his typical off-season training. The biggest knock on him is that he's a cocky kid, but the talent and self-motivation is there. Some fans were expecting or had strong hope for him to make the big club right out of camp which was kind of ridiculous.

If Kassian gets fit I imagine he'd replace Kenins in the lineup. Otherwise he should be getting some ice time. How much is a different question.
