I'm still in utter shock of that contract he received. And I've been following the NHL and this team for 20+ years now.

Read a report today that the Rogers TV deal might drop the cap down 1.3 next year because the deal is paid in CDN dollars.

If this is true, you gotta think the NHL screwed up pretty big to allow the currency exchange hurt the league again.

It might just be a precaution but it was rumoured to be a wrist injury yet they needed a stretcher so I really hope it's nothing serious and related to something else beside a banged up wrist.

Burrows sustained an upper body injury & was taken to hospital after practice this morning for precautionary reasons. Will not play tonight.

Now reported that it's not too serious. Thankfully.

in fairness, linden was just interviewed on 1040 and indicated it was a joke, so unless he hasn't been informed, that's kinda...iffy.
