-Sign UFA Justin Williams (3yrs/$5 mill per)
-Trade Grigorenko, Larrsson, & the NYI 1st rd pick to Col, for Ryan O'Riley.
Roll 3 lines:
Ennis/O'Riley/Williams
Moulson/Eichel/Kane
Reinhart/Girgensons/Gionta
Having Foligno as a 4th line center would be a great fit for "today's NHL". |

Terrible (tearable, turrible) read (reed, reid)...
Just kidding.
Figured you were getting sick of the same ol' song and dance.
Very rarely do you hear a guy say he wants to come back to the AHL. Bring Bagnall back. |

Him being out so often this season had a detrimental effect on the Amerks as well. They need a guy like him in the lineup. Hopefully the shoulder injury doesn't hamper him all next year too. |

I often hear Mike Robatille talk about insulating these young players (Eich, Girg, Risto, Zads, Rein, Psyk) with quality veteran leadership.
While guys like Gionta, Moulson, & Georges do bring some of that professionalism to their craft, I do think adding another Cup winning vet (with gas still in the tank) would aid the young core's development. |

Cab, when you get a chance, go check out a store on Elmwood called Penzey's. They have the BEST spices. I have an addiction to that place. I cringe thinking about buying spices from the grocery store now.
It's next to the laundromat that's on the corner of Auburn and Elmwood. Across from 7-11. |

IMO i think our biggest problem is 1c. We have great potential down the middle but theyre all a year or two away. I think jack at 2c would be the best for him.
It's tough to sign a FA 1c and if no trade is made... it may be best to stretch for a Johan, grigs or Grigo at 1c and hope they make the leap like turris did in ottawa when spezza went down. tough call either way
Great read, btw |

I used to live right down the street on Elmwood, my favorite part of Buffalo and always wondered how a spice store could make enough profit, especially in that location, to stay open, but it obviously can. |

Depending on who the coach is and If we get O'Riley or not I expect Girgensons to start as 1C Reinhart as 2C and Eichel as 3C. Only because any coach is going to go "A rookie whose never played in the NHL and a 2nd year guy who played 9 games with very, very limited minutes.. or a all star guy last year who played first line last year" I do expect Eichel to be up to 2nd or 1st line center by mid season though. |

It's a pretty big retailer. They have locations across the states. My dad lives in Austin and introduced me to them. LOVE their products though. Plus they send out coupons for free product pretty frequently so I've gotten a lot of free stuff. |

I sure hope Carrier can up his game next year...I had high hopes for him at the beginning of the year when he was playing with Grigo and Armia, but he tailed off quite a bit. I know he's a rookie but I hope they can bring in an experienced, offensive minded AHL center that can be a leader for Carrier and some of the younger forwards that will most likely be in the lineup (Baptiste and Bailey to name a few). Unfortunately, I don't have any names at the top of my head who fits the bill. I just want these young guys to develop in the AHL, and the only way to do that is have some good AHL veterans and win more games! |

Ummm, it's probably about the same. I haven't really looked online. That's how my dad discovered them though. Then they opened a store by him locally. I guess the Buffalo store has been open longer though. |

I like going into the store so I can smell them and stuff. I have quite a collection of things from there. My two favorites though are Northwoods Fire and Trinidad. Just got the Chesapeake Seasoning today and the Mitchell Street Steak seasoning a few weeks ago. |

They will get guys like MFE and dalpe. But honestly I don't know if there are really much better options for veteran ahl players |

I have a felling the numbering of lines next season will be pointless other than #4. And I wouldn't be so sure Samson starts in the nhl |

Nice Read Michael, it was interesting to get an interview with the man who has watched the Amerks throughout the years, love the idea and good job getting him!
What a great day of hockey its been so far! WOW, if people hadn't been completely BLOWN AWAY by the simply stellar coaching of BABCOCK then they missed another game were his boys played a "system" to perfection, no excuses about "Jimmy Howard" their extreme lack of Vet D-Men, this man is the TRUTH!
P.S. I wonder if he meets the "Concrete" level of integrity demanded of on this board? |
