The article said that he wants to come to North America for next season, so 75-25 or so sounds about right. It's doable. Not sure the Flyers will be the ones to get him, but perhaps their previous interest works in their favor.

What Hextall really needs to do is get rid of Lecavalier and Umberger's contracts to get some real help on the backend!

Buffalo might have a leg up. Easier to make that team and he'd play with comrade Zadorov

Hexy is looking for another Del Zotto/Bellemare/Schultz type signing. Get somebody in here who can play decent minutes fairly cheap. Our cap situation is not pretty.

Good on him. Sounds like this kid could be a gamer. Hopefully our previous interest in him entices him enough to want to come here. Getting him out of his deal is the first step.

He's still very young too. Very exciting.

Nothing wrong with stocking up on defensemen.

Is this something that is likely to be done before the draft?

Absolutely. I've been saying for months now even before any of this happens that Grossman is a goner. Absolutely no need to have him, Schenn, and Gudas on the same team. You won't survive in todays NHL with a blue-line like that.

I'm starting to wonder if Mark Streit is long for this team....

I'd be very open to moving him this offseason, I can only see him going downhill from here. If they can get a high 2nd rounder for him, make the move. Even it hurts the pp in the short run, I'm cool with that, they aren't going to be a contender in 15-16 anyway and, hopefully, by the end of next season, Ghostisbehere is ready to run an NHL powerplay.
