Was just down in the B-Lo last weekend. The harbor center is nice and all but they seriously need to figure out how to get rid of that skyway and the highway surrounding the area down there. It just makes everything look that much lesser than it should.

A NFL stadium down there would eliminate the skyway IMO...its in the works

I dont even care about football and i think that would be so awesome for the city. And yeah, who ever thought to elevate a highway next to a lake in a city who's temps drop below freezing is not so smart.

We don't need an NFL stadium in the downtown, although I know its inevitable at this point. They just need to get rid of the skyway and open up the inner harbor. ASAP. Driving around the arena just seems sketchy being under the overpasses, even though I've never had any problems over that way. All the upper highway west of the HSBC tower should be demolished, IMO.

But no, that BHH dude had to go and extend the life of that POS peace bridge.

This offseason should be very telling as to the direction Murray will go.
We have a TON of good prospects. But does Murray like them & the style they play?
Most think he'll be making a few trades, so will he be moving some of Regier's prospects & replacing them with guys that fit what he's looking for?
Or does he like guys like Compher, Hurley, Possler, etc and he'll use all these picks to acquire the talent he targets?

Also,
Does he trade for a young goalie, or does he like what we have in our system & bring in a guy like Craig Anderson or Niemi for a few years till someone is ready to take over?

Either way, the draft should be very interesting for Sabres fans

I think they should try to land a RW. I see no problem throwing some of Darcy's draft picks into trades.

I do think they should target ROR, but I also think that even if they acquire him, they should also try to land Wayne Simmonds out of Philly. Giroux and Voracek are their 1, 2 RW and we could pry Simmonds out with our additional picks, prospects and some D (yes that 8=====D). I don't care how much he costs, we need RW depth and have C depth to give back. He is a guy I absolutely want on this team.

As far as Goalie goes, I think they should bring up a guy like Makarov as the back-up and target a vet to bring in for 2 seasons, I don't think trading for a young goalie is a wise move no matter how nice some of them look or project to be, its always a risk. Niemi would be fine with me. We aren't making the playoffs next year and you can evaluate Makarov first hand. With Irbe still under contract it seems like he stays, let him work his magic and see what happens. Worry about a Goalie next year.
