Hi Carol - No fighting aloud in here!! |

Serious question :
Does anyone actually think bieksa is worth 12 mill over 3 years ?
I just don't see him in that range anymore ...he is entering that stage in his career where it's either low hit long term or higher short term |

Although Botchford makes a great point on where Dougie Hamliton could fit in Vancouver's lineup, but he fails in explaining how Vancouver could of out bid Calgary or even drive up the price. Calgary had a much higher 1st rounder , a 2nd rounder to Vancouver's none, and a second 2nd rounder to Vancouver's none. Botch's piece is like those fanboy trades he always laughs at. He is just fanning the flames because that's what he does. |

He's worth whatever someone is willing to pay him, that's how value is measured in professional sports. It's a singular thing as you saw in the Lehner trade; Tim Murray drafted Lehner and sees him as a really valuable piece to the Sabres future, so he pays a lot for him. But that's what he felt it was worth to get him. |

We have players that could have been used. Baertschi, Edler, Hamhuis, 23 pick, Shinkaruk? any combo of players would have been better for them because clearly they missed the bus on drafting players. |

Botchford suggested the Canucks use two first round picks ++ to entice them, which is totally stupid IMO for a team thats about to crash to the basement. You can tell he's from Ontario because that's something the Leafs would do.
Edler and Hamhuis would not have went there, I think it's pretty well known they have no intentions of moving on, you could ask them, but I'm 100% positive they'd say no at this point. |

FYI Gentleman,
That Gay Pornfest last night resulted in bans to approximately 12 people from the EDM forum. Hopefully the length of the ban is appropriate. |

I'm not talking trade value ...but salary ...if I'm a team willing to trade for KB but I have to pay him 12 mill for 3 years that might be a detourant |

to a young team needing leadership he is. to a contender he isnt.
EDIT: As an example, Calgary would be stupid to acquire him, But Edmonton wouldn't. |

He would be a fit in EDM, CAL, BUFF etc. I like his leadership and toughness, it's just time to move on. |

Also, he would have been a better captain than Henrik IMO |

First I heard of these rumors about Hamilton being unpopular. It didnt make sense why they moved him out but if true, they probably did the right thing. Not sure about the returns but time will tell. |

I don't think after the playoffs the flames would have any interest in him at all |

Again it goes back to how much said team wants him. If you're trading for him and you've spoken with his agent, you know how much he wants....if you agree you do it. If not you walk. Someone will be willing to pay him 4 million. |

I don't doubt someone willing to pay KB that much but are they a team that he would waive to ? If he is stating he wants to stay put wherever they deal him to then maybe he needs to lower his salary demands |

I thought it was one guy. That's just weird. There are other sites for that kind of stuff. See what missing the playoffs does to fans? Exactly why Van should never tank purposely. |

I certainly hope so. Should be lifetime bans as far as I'm concerned. |
