Honestly its a start...we had real depth issues but with todays signings, we pushed guys like Guenin Cliche Holden out of the active roster. Thats a good start. Still work to do, but if they can move Stuart and Berras contract, it will start to look a lot better sooner rather than later

Not too shabby.

I was worried that the Ducks would let him walk. He was literally Norris-caliber three seasons ago, and he's been pretty rock solid the last two years while dealing with knee surgery and recovery.

Many fans will scoff and say he's not worth the money, but this dude is a freaking stud.

I just don't get why we didn't try for Oduya a bit more. Or Sekora, 1 million more for a better defensemen? I just question the deal right now. 12 million is space is a lot to work with and seems we are just tossing in the towel on FA

I love it. Brings grit leadership can move puck some and handle big players. Will he play pp?

Its not the worst. They need some guys to step up in their development (Mack, Zads, and Grigo) but they talent is there. Just need to come together as a team

Oh and the idea of Sekera being a better hockey player than Francois is laughable.

Martin would be the guy I would rather of had over Beauch. I didnt want Oduya based on what we keep on hearing for term and money..hes 33, it wont be much different giving him a 4-5 year contract than Beauch a 3 year.

Sekera sucks but who knows, maybe he wanted to be part of the Oilers young guns over ours, which isnt shocking considering.

Its not the worst. They need some guys to step up in their development (Mack, Zads, and Grigo) but they talent is there. Just need to come together as a team

I think the roster is much better looking this year. Added youth and experience, and got rid of a cancerous tumor.

and EJ or Barrie will be carrying the work load for him now. Hes smart steady player.
I cant see too many things wrong adding him. Sure 4.5m to a 38 year old Dman is a bit much in the last year of his contract...but if the team is winning that doesnt matter.

3rd pairing still sucks, but unless we can ditch those contracts, thats what we have to deal with.

Sakic just said they didnt want to commit too long term on UFA guys. Basically hinting at with Zads, Bigras, Geertsen...they want roster flexibility for those guys once its their time for big time minutes.

Not at all. I think you guys have a gem ind Zadorov. Grigo can go either way for me. But adding the yeti will give you guys some skill and size down the middle.

He did see a little PK time actually. He was just an alternate because so many players kill penalties for the bruins. (what i mean by alternate is when another PKer was in the box, he would step in)

Yeti can kill penalties just as good as run a powerplay. He is defensively sound and has very good positioning in his own end. That is part of the reason he didnt score very many goals.

yeah I can see him being put in that role now, if roy puts you on the PK, you have earned his trust. I think thats why they signed Comeau too, he has some PK ability.

Oh and Comeau brings a hot wife into Denver...Better Halves brunch is going to look even better now

DDM , the more I look @ your combo's the more I question Grig's as the 3rd line Center, If Patrick didn't trust Mack there and he's 10 times the worker Grigorenko has shown to be I just don't see him putting in that spot. I really think he's going to have to earn that spot after he gotten his game back.
I'd wouldn't be surprised at all if he ends up doing the same thing as he did with Mack and he ends up as a winger on Dutch's line. With either Mitchell or Hish centering that 3rd with Tangs and Comeau.

yeah I can see that as well. Grigo is a wild card going into next year. I think Mitchell starts the season as 3C until either Grigo or Hishon earn the trust of Roy for that roll.

But we are talking abbot those 3 guys for our Bottom 6 C situation. I feel a lot better about that vs having cliche penciled into 4C
