How about this--O'Reilly holds down 1C and Eichel takes 2C until (as I believe Baker predicted) Eichel seizes the 1C job around Christmas. O'Reilly moves to wing on the top line so he and Eichel can easily flip-flop if there's a tough matchup that Bylsma doesn't like. Reinhart starts in Rochester. When Eichel moves to 1C, Reinhart gets called up from Rochester to be 2C. So around Christmas the top 6 looks like

Kane-Eichel/O'Reilly-O'Reilly/Eichel
Moulson-Reinhart-Ennis

Good read B0os. If Sam gains those few pounds needed and stays. He will lose them playing day in and day out. Same thing happened to Myers .

I wouldn't be opposed to trading him to Arizona that would bring back Oliver Ekman-Larsson. We would be set down the middle for years with ROR, Eichel, and Girgensons. Bringing back a top pairing D with a great cap hit would make me happy

I wouldn't be opposed to trading him to Arizona that would bring back Oliver Ekman-Larsson. We would be set down the middle for years with ROR, Eichel, and Girgensons. Bringing back a top pairing D with a great cap hit would make me happy

I like the idea... but I'm pretty sure OEL is practically the only untouchable on that roster.

I hate this argument, so because Girgensons who clearly needed that year, and Risto who needed to adjust to the small ice surface needed that year, that the 2nd overall pick needs a year in Rochester?

Reinhart did what he was supposed to do when they sent him back to juniors. If he shows he belongs he stays, it's a simple as that.

It puts Reinhart in his natural position between 2 vets who can produce. I don't like the idea of putting him as a top line winger to start his career. If Reinhart starts producing and they want him to keep doing it, switch Girgensons and Reinhart.

my thought was legwand is a 1 year player, then slot reinhart on the dot for 2016/17

plus it puts Larsson on the dot for a full season
