I wasn't knocking the Leafs chances, I was just speculating the title of every rumor blog leading up to that date.

That date should be very interesting, with the likelyhood of the Salary Cap going down. Teams will pursue short term players, with expiring contracts, to make one last push with their current roster. Once the season ends, teams will be hard against the cap and will need to move good players, to get under what is sure to be a lower cap. The loss of revenue, due to a lower Canadian dollar, will really hurt the NHL, since almost half of their revenue comes from Canadian based teams.
