Jeez Hendo these blogs remind me of the end of Brodeur's career. You take a good thing and refuse to end it with dignity. |

Well I started a top 10, so killing it at 7 would be pretty douchey - although consistent with my ability to finish what I start |

Agreed he should have retired after sending the Rags home in 2012. |

1.87 5v5 P/60 I think in OKC, basically a below average 1st liner/above average 2nd liner
Production was up and I believe ice time jumped something crazy like 4-5 minutes once Lander was with the big club.
Makes you wonder why they signed Phil McRae to an AHL deal when Yak2, Platzer, and maybe Drai need ice time. |

Yea it's been all downhill from there for both Brodeur and the Devils. Well maybe downcliff is a more accurate way of describing how steep the decline has been. |

And just think, since 2012 the Rangers and Devils have the exact same amount of cups to show for it. Maybe Hank should retire. Now. Please. |

Pretty much it is... Just ask Vancouver how great it is to have had Lou, Kesler etc for all those years and have sweet (frank) all to show for it... |

That type of logic indicates that the oilers have been as good and successful as the rangers have been the last 3 years and that is a joke of a statement to make |

What is the ultimate goal for every team, every season... To win the stanley cup. Anything short of it is deemed a failure by MOST teams.
That is not to say that the future of the club is not important, draft picks are not important, prospects are not important, etc etc etc.

In all fairness with one cup in the past 75 seasons, I'm certain the Rangers faithful will be amped up to see another conference championship banner hung up from last year. |

And to be fair, to have a chance at playing for the cup, you need to win the conference championship. |
