As per your 80's AIDS comment.(last blog) I watched this show Go towards the light with Linda Hamilton in the late 80's I was traumatized by it. Every time I had a sniffle I thought I had AIDs. Ruined my childhood)

it's a bummer that we don't have any goaltenders battling for a pro position right now (Demko a few years away at best).
We had a quality prospect on the farm for what seemed like a long time (Schneids, Lack, Ericson, etc).
Not feeling great about Bachman being called up, but hopefully Canata can develop. I seem to recall he had some promise a few years back.

Anyone know any details or seem him play??

They are banking on Markstrom to take it and run with it eventually if not it will be Demko. Problem being of course if both Miller and Markstrom both go down with injury next season could be a #tanknation!!!!

my thoughts exactly.
If Miller goes down with an injury, and Marks drops the ball at some point, it would be nice to be able to give a young goalie a chance in the bigs...could Canata fit that role in theory?

open question....

Canucks have a 6'9 goalie MacLean? I think he did good at rookie camp

that's what I'm talking about.
if we're gonna go down, i'd rather throw a raw rookie in net to sink/swim than put a journeyman in there.

It might allow us a look at a prospect that provides us a trading chip at the TDL.

The absolute dictionary definition of "first world problems". The rare article that makes you laugh and feel a general sense of anger at the same time.

I can't believe they made him take out the basketball court. Now Michael Jordan is never going to randomly stop by for a game of pick up.

Bachman might be a journeyman, but he has still been a very good goalie in the ahl and at time in the NHL. He was outstanding a few years ago against us when playing for Dallas.

Will he ever be more than an ahl vet/3rd string ? I don't know bit I'm stoke mgmt picked up some quality experience at the ahl level.

As far as the others, I think Jones, McEnemy, and Fedun will be pleasant surprises in Utica this year and Blomstrand is my dark horse for most exciting player on the team.

Due to the lack of spaces on the fwd ranks for the big team, and the relative plethora of high draft picks at the fwd position in recent years, i am more interested in our D and goaltending prospects.
It appears that JV, McCann, Brock, Shink and even Cole Cassells along with a number of potential grinders will be battling for 1-2 max spots over the next few seasons. And that's how it should be.

On D, i'm legit looking forward to seeing what Subban can do in the pro's. Fingers crossed he does well next year with the Comets and gets the opportunity to get his toes wet. Lord knows we have been starved for production from the D for a few seasons.

I still have faint hopes that Cedar can continue to develop into a bottom 6 stay at home and punish the forwards kinda Dman that i don't think we've had for some time.
Also, Pedan.

quiet night around here after all the troll talk
