That's great news for the folks that want to see a playoff run in Vancouver.

Last year at this time Tanner, predicted, no not predicted GUARANTEED the Yotes would make the playoffs.
Also Gagne would score 70+ points and Domi would win the Calder and be near 100 points.

But I really don't get the Tanner hate. He is entertaining, and isn't afraid to throw his opinions out there. and he has the balls to show up day after day and face the abuse that comes with making such crazy predictions.

When I read his blogs i like to pretend I'm sitting in a bar, listening to some fan who's had a few too many pints, rambling about how his team is the best thing ever. It provides the context I need to not take him seriously, but to still enjoy the ranting.

I think because he TRULY believes his own BS and will argue with anyone who disagrees. Every so often he presents a strong (factual) argument but most of the time its like watching an episode of Jerry Springer

Great read, Carol!

I can't wait for this disasterous season to get under way and watch Benning & Lindens train wreck burst into a super nova fireball.

It's tuesday, right?

some people could use a good old fashioned water boarding... especially people claiming to be Nux fans but want the team to finish last in the league...

Easy there kaptaan. I think you are taking it all too litterly. I think the fans know that the current roster is not bad enough to get a top 3 pick, nor is it good enough to win a stanley cup. Take a look at MOST of the teams who have won a cup in the last decade and most have a top 3 pick get them there. I think it's tough for fans as they realise we need a number1 defenseman and some high end scoring talent forwards in order to become elite like the other teams. I don't want to see the Canucks in the bottom of the league EVER, however, I want success and I am ready to pay the price for that success.

I see his frustration, but he has to be rational. This team is not going to be a contender with its current roster. The majority of the fanbase know this and are saying "we know its a stretch for us to make the playoff's, why waste time in getting a 15-20 overall pick and not make the playoff's when we can not make the playoff's and get a top 10 pick who eventually could be a franchise player". I see both sides, you never want to see your team as a bottom feader NHL club, but for the sake of the future, you have to understand other people's opinions in wanting a top 3 pick in a another good draft class.
