Know what's (frank)ed?

A couple months ago I was living in Wilno... I was living in a house beside the house where that lady was found dead yesterday.. it's a beautiful little town, but with like literally 100 people living there.

Gardiner looks to be using his skating to open space for himself, the same way he was during the Boston series. If he can be consistent that's great news for Leafs fans.

Nylander seems to be an effortless type player who may some day be a very good NHLer but for now it's still best to stay the course and send him back to the AHL. But giving him the chance to earn it right now in pre-season certainly doesn't hurt either, he still has time to prove us wrong.

Marner is still a very young player and appears to be at or around the same level Nylander was last years training camp/pre-season. He should have a stellar year in the OHL this year.

Good problem to have, really.

I knew there was a buzzard in the area.

Didn't you say it was a hippy town?

I'd be very surprised if Nylander starts the year on the Leafs.

I'd be a lot less surprised now than I would have been last week.

In previous years, I would agree with you.

But I've signed on to the Shanaplan.

As a Leafs fan, I'm tired of patience and wanna get back into knee jerk reactions to everything.

Time to trade some of these kids and draft picks to get some wily vets who can help our club now!!!

Yeah it's predominately hippies.. but real hippies, not hipsters. It's also a popular kayak and canoe destination. The sad thing about living in any rural part of Canada is that there's so many ignorant rednecks with browning stickers on their trucks and would wear camo to a funeral. They might not be the majority, but they sure act like they are.

I have a feeling that if the leafs are within striking distance of the playoffs come the deadline, they'll be buyers

That's the big difference. Last night was Marner's first ever game against pros. Last year Nylander developed against men, and this year Marner will stay with the kids. He won't be as ready next year as Willie is this year.

It would basically go against what they have said since day 1 though (I know as Leafs fans that's hard for us to imagine).

If he stays with the Maries he can:
Get prime minutes.
Create chemistry with the next wave of Leafs (who's responsibility is to get us out of this mess)
Stay away from the media (somewhat)
Stay away from a losing environment
Develop as a player and get bigger
Allow the Leafs to probably draft higher
Learn how to be a centre in North America
Allow others to try and have a good season to flip for picks

I don't think you understand the Shanaplan.
