Really!? Guenin with Barrie again.

The really sad thing is Comeau with Duchene again! Why not try the Fin on the top line with Duchene? He looked better than Comeau imo...

If we pretend Comeau is a top line LW and Holden/Guenin are NHL D guys we're in for a long damn year.

The biggest question is why is Roy putting Mikko at LW when he is a natural RW and benching a C/LW in Grigorenko just so he can pressed a RW in Rendulic (who hasn't shown that is he more than a 12th/13th forward).

For me the Lines should be

Landeskog MacKinnon Rantanen
Grigorenko Duchene Iginla
Tanguay Soderberg Comeau

If they aren't going to play Rant at RW, then he should be in the AHL developing. Not playing his off wing on the 3rd line and then being benched (all were benched) in the 3rd period

It's starting to get old to even talk about it.

Given that on ANY other team, the defenseman would have at least been an NHL-caliber defenseman, you have to surmise that Guenin individually and personally cost the Avs the game against the Wild.

Throw in Holden's utter lack of NHL ability and you have a train wreck just waiting to happen.

At the very least, if Roy is absolutely adamant about playing Guenin, he needs to be paired with someone else besides Barrie.

Barrie is, at best, a 4th forward when he is on the ice. And hey... If that's his job then so be it. But Roy really needs to pair Barrie with a rock-solid defenseman who won't get caught up-ice when Barrie is doing his thing in the offensive zone.

I think much of what Roy is doing IS working. But he needs to get over his stubbornness with Guenin and Holden and move on before we waste another season.
