Would you rather recall Marc Andre Cliche?

Well everything I've read about him is that he's a version of Winchester who's put up about 0 points in 100 games since he can't even lace up the skates for us.

I don't mind sticking a guy like this on the 4th line. As it stands right now we have some of our higher scoring AHL talent playing bottom minutes in the NHL and that isn't a great match. Wagner sounds more like a 4th liner and low risk since he's on a 2 way contract in his RFA year.

Wagner? He will be fine, its a no risk pick up to replace Street who has been terrible at 4C.

When you move 3 out of 4 top Cs onto 1 line, leaves you a little thin down the midddle. I dont mind the pick up

Duck fans seem pissed they lost him, decent on the draw, very defensively responsible with and away from the puck, and he hits like a truck.

Worth a shot, if he doesnt work out in 30 days/10 games, they put him back on waivers. Not the end of the world.

The claim to me shows signs that the Grigo Top 6 Role is going to continue even after Landy is back, they wouldnt make that claim if they werent planning on keeping him with MacK Dutch

I cannot see how Grigs isnt earning Roy's trust despite being miscast as a bottom six. If the Avs roll out:

Dutch-MacK-Grigs (I am really enjoying the Dutch-MacK combo...the speed is dizzying and MacK is really becoming a top tier NHL'er in front of our eyes)
Landy-Soderberg-Iginla
Skille-Mitchell-Comeau
McLeod-4C-Martinsen

How can you not be happy with that?

I would be down with that, however I would like to see Everberg back into line up over Martinsen. 4th line of McLeod Wagner Everberg could be an interesting line to watch.

I think Martinsen draws into the line up over Berg though, seems like Roy and Co are testing him to see what he can do

Man the groin injury is starting to concern me.. 15 games in and hitting the IR already luckily for us Berra is playing out of this world and I wouldn't even expect Varly is he was 100% the way Berra is playing..

Mack and Dutch are really feeding off each other well, cant lie I was a little skeptical having so much talent on one line and I though it would thin us out offensively. However from what I see all the lines are going out and playing their roles really well getting the puck deep and having really good support coming back, simple things we were missing all last year and the start of this year..

Onto the lonely Leafs and the ACC, Dutch always has family and friends intown when he plays in Toronto so expect another monster performances by him...

Really loving what I've been seeing from this team, but it can all turn at the drop of a dime.

I like the top two lines. They should try it moving forwards. I would try...

McLeod-Mitchell-Comeau
Skille-Wagner-Martinsen

A little more even with the skill/defense awarness/offensive punch. I think Martinsen goes back down when tangs comes back. And we move move Comeau into his position. But that's just my opinion. Would not mind seeing Redmond get a shot

Grigo really complements them too, they both feed of give and go style passing intight and down low. Thats one thing Grigo ahs shown he really excels at, unreal vision and IQ. Eventually I can see them being split up again but Grigo with Dutch shouldnt be broken up. Landy MacK work together so if they need to spread out the offence, at least they could deploy lines 2 lines with solid C and LW combos

Agreed.. His hockey IQ is threw the roof as well as very North American.. And I mean that in the sense hes very sound and conscious of where he is on the ice and never looking to make the big play to get out of position..

Always right where he should be..

Yeah looking forward down the line or next year you could run
Grigo-Dutchy-Rantanen
Landy-Mac K- X (ahl or possible 2016 draft or signed player)
Mcleod-Soderberg-iggy

Assuming we re sign Grigo which I think we will, and there are some solid lines combos for later on this year and next!!

I still am a believer in the Raduov Avs rumorus from the summer, he is looking to coming back to the NHL..that one russian newspaper said there is a deal in place bw the 2 (this was before the KHL transfer agreement fell through at the last minute) so who knows how legit it was

With his background with Roy from their Remparts days....If he does come back, Avs have to be his first choice.

Landy Mack Rantanen/Rad
Grigo Dutch Radulov/Rant
Comeau Soderberg Iggy

Thats a pretty decent Top 9 if they are able to swing that. Dont think any AHL/Forward prospects are ready for Top 6 duties with the Avs besides Rantanen.

Compher and Bleackley (if signed) will be in the AHL for a season or 2 developing.

I cant wait to watch both of them at the upcoming WJHC and even more so Bleackley get to play in the Mem Cup

I got to see Martinsen in person at Philly and was surprised at how big he was. He has not been shy about hitting, has a huge reach and feels like he can skate. I do like having a bit of size available given the size of the west.

I got into it with some Pens fan yesterday since he was ripping on the ROR trade saying we got futures and that compher is over rated and will disappoint since he saw him play 4 times in person.

Pen fans are a crazy suicide watch bunch right now. Have no idea how he can say Compher is over rated, I guess this guy has NHL scouting ability for talent but just likes to post on HB instead

Nice to see Grigo getting some love in Colorado. Was really excited when we drafted him, just wish we hadn't rushed him and hurt his development.

As I said before, if Duchene and MacKinnon do not perform, then this entire team will not have success. They have gone out and showed their high end skill and produced individually and even together. When that happens the team wins. The next test will be if they can keep up the scoring or trade off nights where one might be struggling and the other is lights out.

Glad to see those young Avs players do well. I was a disappointed fan early on, but you have to go through the ups and downs of a season just like the players do and we are on a big up swing right now.

Take it to them in Toronto and we'll really be building something with 4 straight wins.

GO AVS!!!

Finally some sanity about the Dutch and Barrie rumours. This should stop the trolls with their proposals

Duchene is definitely one of my favorite Avs players and I would be sad to see him go. I just don't see how possibly getting rid of him would better the Avs in any way. Duchene keeps that top line clicking. He is a great player to go with MacKinnon.
