I thought Lindy got behind the wrong bench in the 1st. And is there anyone one this team besides Ullmark and O'Rielly? |

Offsides is offsides. If the roles were reversed would we still be complaining about it ? - cabin
it really is that simple, isn't it? |

If Offsides is not a judgement call...if it is black and white...and the replay is going to enforce being offsides even by a millimeter..
Get rid of the linesmen who constant get in the way, install RF devices in the puck and players uniforms (gloves, skates, etc.), set up a sensor at the blueline, and have a light go off to inform the ref that the player was offside
Either have the 2 linemen on the ice getting in the way and leave the human element in the game, or get rid of them and let computers and video tell us how the game should come out

Thats my point...the idea that adding more technology to a game to make it better doesn't translate in all sports...
the businessmen see what the NFL does and think that because the NFL is rich as poop everything the NFL is doing in their game can be adapted into another sport in order to make that sports' owners rich as well |

I still can't figure out why every other rule change (hybrid icing, 3 on 3 OT, etc) gets implemented in the AHL first but something as major as this one, doesn't. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. |

The fact that Ennis has been the reason for 2 of them. I see it being fixed and not be to our disadvantage any time soon. But the possibility if us losing 2-4 pts might bite us in the ass at the end of the season. |

I think it's more because the coaches wanted it, and wanted it soon. Also, the NHL is the only league in professional sports that implements rule changes like that. You don't see them do this in Minor League Baseball or the NBA D-League. |

The only thing i do not get about the challenge is why is the time not added back on the clock? The play is dead at the offside, hence why the goal does not count. So that time and PP time should go back on the clock. It doesn't make sense. |

The put the time back on, but not on the PP time, which was a mistake. |

But was it not more than 6 seconds after the offside? Did they add 6 seconds back to the PP? And why did they do it last night but not on the previous 2? The NHL is tripping over its own feet right now and its UGLY. I finally have a Sabres team that i enjoy watching, have already went to 5 games (more than all of last year) and yet the NHL is making me not want to watch now, it's becoming the NFL and that is not a good thing. |

Is the rule dumb? Absolutely
But it's there to get the call right.. and unfortunately for the 3rd time it did.
Game Notes.
I'd rather see Larsson and Gio in a bottom Six role with Sam and McGinn moving up until kanes back
Thought Legwand played a strong game last night.
ROR impresses me more and more every game. He was grinding against Jamie Benn all game and held his own.
Lastly, who would have ever thought Ennis would be so hard to fit with ROR or Eichel.
Possible lineup to regain offense?
9-90-63
26-15-23
88-28-12
22-17-44/82

How is it ugly? It's receiving mostly positive reviews around the league from players and coaches alike? |

How is it Tennis can do it in 3 seconds with a computer to tell if a ball is in or out, but Hockey takes 5 minutes.
Soccer the ref has a watch that tells him if a goal was scored, but hockey cant get that right.
It seems like they said, this is a good idea, lets do it, before doing any R&D on it.
I am meh on the rule, we have done without it for 50+ years. Not sure why all the sudden we need it now.
Also the rule is vauge. SO if you enter the zone offside, the opposing team recovers the puck, fails to get it out twice. and over a minute goes by. That is all for not.
What if you get a penalty on a play that should have been offside, can you challenge that so you don't go shorthanded? |

I think it's more about technology exposing missed calls and the leagues trying to get it right...
I don't like replay, never have...unfortunately this is the sports-world we live in |

What if we are offside turn the puck over and the other team scores. Can we challenge that we were offside, so it should of been blown dead? There are so many holes it is unreal. I would be saying all of this if it was the other team is well. The system is flawed. And the time it takes is unreal. The first one was 7 minutes! Takes all momentum away and slows the game down way to much. Its a joke. And that is why it is UGLY! |

idk, cab...i'm not looking for the team to make the playoffs so it's not bothersome to me...I look at this team as a whole bunch of new players learning a new system and unfortunately they're learning a hard lesson about being offside |

Before these challenges only 2% of calls were missed. There was no need for any of this. |

wasn't the impetus a playoff goal that was scored while replays showed the scoring team had a player clearly offside?
