Lend Schmelt to World Jr's. - A_SteamingLombardi
Yep.
Bring Grenier back up. Guy is going to end up being waiver eligible and management still won't know what they have. |

blah blah blah... it's cloudy and raining... watching jessica jones. on the binge. i'm going back to sleep now i think. just had some pizza for lunch. from costco, added sliced tomatoes and shredded 4 cheese mexican blend, with oregano... what else...
Daniel is really kicking some arse this season so far. Hank is doing pretty well. Hansen has surpassed Burrows on the depth chart.
All those idiots who were saying the Sedins were getting slow, etc... should eat some crow right about now. |

Yup, I'm on board. It'll be interesting to see how he compares to his play from last now that he's spent a fair chunk of time with the big club. I'm sure the game will be much different heading down this time around, seemingly much more time and space. Hopefully he would have a good tourny and put in some offense, then transition it back up to the Canucks. |

A good option. Sending him back to the Hitmen would not be a smart move. |

I love when people sh*t on the Sedins and year after year they come in and usually put up point per game stats - on top of nearing Iron man status - Henrik's missed about 15 games in 15 years - Daniels missed about 40 but broke his ankle I believe one year.
Then I read this article by Linden about the team hiking the Grouse Grind in the summer which is a 850 meter ascend...
"Linden does the hike in under 40 minutes. Fast. The Sedins – “they’re freak shows,” he says – do it in 32. Sven Baertschi’s first time up, the 23-year-old winger took 52 minutes. Turning to Mr. Linden at the top, Mr. Baertschi said: “That was hard. I know I can do better.” By summer’s end Mr. Baertschi was under 40 minutes.
slow clap for the twins......take a sip of Wiser.....continue clapping..... |

I binge watched it with having the flu this week. I liked it. David Tenent was a great antagonist. I always love it when he is a bad guy. Not all the actors were near the same caliber as others but all in all worth the watch.

Thanks Carol
The picture of the twins talking to Jake and Jared speaks volumes of where this team is going and how this team is going to get better. Having mentors and quality people taking the time to work with the young men coming in is imo invaluable. I think it would be a mistake in development sending them down.
I personally wouldn't lend them to team Canada either as the ice is different and level of play is different. Not to mention as a player going to a short venue like that you're coming back on a major high or a major low. I believe it effects player performance coming back after those highs and lows. |

There is the odd case out there like Curtis Lazar last season coming back from it and playing better. I think it does depend a lot on the person and if they even want to go. As a coach I wouldn't let my player go for a number of reasons. |

The problem is that who can we bring up that does not require waivers if they send him back down.
I don't think Jake will learn anything by destroying people in the minors.
Do we want Linden Vey back?
Go to the World Jr.s and then back with the team. |

I hear you but I'm actually ok if they let him go. Sure we all love the hits from JV but if he is stuck at 4 pts in Dec it won't hurt for him to get some seasoning at the very top level world junior. Not the WHL. The risk is injury and that would really suck if we lost him for the season but in JV's case it might be ok for him to go to WJHC. |

Good afternoon boys, golf tourney was a blast…only a few headaches in the morning, lost 600 bucks in three days so not bad at all.
I saw a few highlights of the Minny game at the sports pub in the Paris Hotel down there but haven't watched a game since they beat Chicago. Has Pedan played a game yet?
Sending Jake back to Major Junior would be a mistake in my opinion, it's the defensive side of the game he needs to work on, he won't learn that in Calgary!
I so wish they had the three year rule, not four, that would allow 19 year old Junior eligible players to be sent to the AHL, if anything, that's where he would and should be learning to pro game. Look how much better Shinkaruk looks compared to when he got there. |
