For what we are getting out of Burrows Higgins and Weber right now the Utica guys deserve a shot. Makes no difference if we are top 6 or bottom 6. Especially Higgins and Weber...if they continue to play at an AHL level in the NHL why aren't they just down in the AHL? Really need to get Gaunce some time in. He looked damn good in preseason.

- inconsistent effort
- lack of confidence in each other
- lack of push back
- too much loyalty in vets when they aren't getting it done and are coasting
- too much on the shoulders of rookies
- did I mention the defense?

I hear you and while I like Erhoffs contributions offensively he was just becoming too much of a defensive liability. His plus/minus was good here in 2011 cause we had the best PP in the league. Playoffs exposed his liabilities and I think he was -14 or -17 or something in the PO's for us that year. Absolutely god-awful in gm 7. It wasn't just the Buffalo year you could see it manifesting.
