Decent talent...but so is Nail Yakupov. Busts happen, and no fault of scouts or GM's. Still, worth taking a flyer on either player of the price is right. GMs need to get over the price they paid sometimes and cut their losses, IMO. |

Kyle Turris was a #3 pick, and had for a roster player and a draft pick.
I'd give them anybody but Eichel, Reinhart, O'Reilly, Kane, Girgensons, Ristolainen, Bogosian, Pysyk, McCabe and Ullmark...I hate to lose Ennis too.
Send them one of Foligno, Larsson or McGinn (who is UFA this summer, and his brother is in Tampa) plus a 2nd round pick.
I think Moulson could explode down there, but we'd have to retain 50% of his salary.[/img] |

Yeah, God forbid a deep and talented team force a young, highly regarded player to earn a roster spot.
The Lightning control Drouin for several more years. There's zero rush to trade him right now, and certainly not for less than a huge return. |

Exactly, Drouin will harvest at least a 1st, a A prospect & possibly a roster player. I could see Flames parting with a 1st, Russell & a Klimchuk or Porrier. |

Wow, Franson and a 3rd for Drouin. How could Stevie Y pass that up? |

Ennis, Franson and a 2nd round pick for Drouin and another piece.
(If I was Drouin) ROR, Eichel, Reinhart, Kane, Girgensons, Drouin, sounds like one hell of a top six to me..
It looked like more than just the Blues scouts were at FNC yesterday, anyone know if that's true? |

Who cares what Drouin thinks, hes on a ELC, he has no control of where Yzerman trades him |

Simply put, Franson has played well given the current state of the team. |

I'd like to see GMTM to be on the phone, just don't pull another Ottawa trade. What a waste of a 1st pick for a guy who didn't make it a quarter of a period |

Dont think Yzerman is going to trade Drouin within the Division. If Reinhart requested a trade, do you think GMTM would trade him within the Division so you have to see him 5 times a year potentially haunting you for a decade? |

Cody Franson and a second round pick. for Drouin. That is a God Dam Joke man.
I have a much better trade that is a bit more fair BUT expensive for both sides.
Come to Buffalo
Drouin
Carle
Either Vasilevskiy or Gudlevskis (I favor Gudlevskis) {I would also Ask about Bishop if TB offers him over Vasilevskiy or Gudlevskis the price coming back to TB is a lot less}
Erne
TB retains NO salary
To Tampa
Kane
Weber
And a first next year because we want to keep our lottery pick this year.
Lets be honest here, Drouin is not performing so you are not getting a massive package back for him. Yes Kane is OVER payment for Drouin himself however Vasilevskiy or Gudlevskis plus Erne will add more value to a team giving up a first line LW.
Now if TB does not want to throw in Vasilevskiy or Gudlevskis and Erne, them the price drops from a first. If we are taking Bishop then the price will be something like a 2nd and 3rd, or 2 3rds or something of that nature. If we are not getting 2 blue chip NHL players coming back that will play top 9 or be a starting goalie then the 1st is not in play.
Weber is just a player to get Carle's contract off TB books. And Sorry but Carle is on the back side of his hockey career. He is not worth nothing now so you are not getting anything of value especially if 100% of his contract is hone. |

Lehner is almost back, Kane is doing better and you want to trade Kane for a goalie, a risky prospect and a cap dump? Not sure who the joke is really on here partner.

And he wants to throw in a potentially top 10 pick. I could have lived with it without the pick but adding a first makes it an auto no. The only reason I'd consider it without the first is the age factor. Kane will be in a decent decline by time Eichel is I need his prime and we are real contenders. If the kid pans out like he could, it'd open our contention window a lot wider than Kane does. |

Yes, because all other GMs are excellent predictors of injuries. How stupid of him not to be able to see a sprain in his future! |

That's a very reasonable deal... Or maybe it just looks reasonable compared to garths |
