Sending a contact type player to a mainly non contact tournament seldom works out well. Anyone who thinks JV is not sorely needed on this soft roster needs to give their head a shake. The kid is 19. He is not a man yet.

Pedan fastest skater , hardest shot , biggest body = Press Box

Poor Jake, I feel for the kid. He's gonna be a good NHL'er though, you just have to be patient with him because you're not gonna see it until he's 22 or 23.

There's a lot of reasons they lost though, he wasn't the only one.

I agree Makita, no one knows what goes on behind closed doors of negotiations.

That will give us three years of reading material from Nucker on how we should have picked Ehlers

There's already players like Ehlers in the system, (frank) Nucker...

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Pedan turned out to be a top 4 find and partnered well with Tryamkin. One can dream

If we don't win the Mathews sweeps we need a big Finn on the team

Nope, he'll still be a stud. He's being misused IMO by Cooper... the same guy who wants to put Stamkos on the wing

Yet Yzerman seems firmly behind Cooper? Strange things going on down there.

Some players don't like to be spoon fed the koolaid in the locker room. You don't buy into Coopers system you get benched or (demoted to the AHL) you don't like being benched play the system. Some younger players thrive under certain coaches others not so much.

That's one thing that I know for sure with the Leafs now: if you come on board you follow Babcock's directions. But more than that, he really seems to take lots of time and effort to make sure that everybody understands the system and buys in to it
