The season is lost so there is no pressure to get a scorer now. |

The Sabres have no one to trade to get a goal scorer. No player in Rochester is worth anything and the Sabres will not trade their only 2 scorers. |

depends on the definition of spare.
prospects: guhle, florentino, brycen martin are all NHL prospects. im starting to like borgen myself, but he's a risky one at best.
carlo and webs are the only NHL ready guys (if you want to call carlo that) that we would be able to trade away without the return of a LHD. |

im sure any of our D outside of Risto can be had, but "spare" is not the word to use with Buffalo and defenseman at this time methinks. |

Neither one of these 2 will get the Sabres anything that can help them now. |

They would be add ins with a roster player to get the upgrade if anything. I wouldn't move either for a ransom at this point given our winger struggles. But I think you undervalue both, former 2nd round picks that show success in the AHL as rookies hold some value. |

Leafs trade away their best scorer and make menial additions in offseason.
Sabres make big trades, big signings, ice a guy Garth thinks is better than McDavid...
People predict Sabres will fight for playoff spot.
Leafs ahead of Sabres in the standings, lol |

Trade Marcus Foligno to Columbus by packaging him with a mid-round pick (4th round maybe?) in return for LW Kerby Rychel.
Trade Johan Larsson and a 3rd round pick to NY Rangers for Kevin Hayes.
Columbus gets a NHL winger who supposedly has drawn interest from other teams and would likely reignite the passion level in his game by playing alongside his brother (Nick). Sabres acquire a winger with scoring potential who is currently on a point per game pace in the AHL and is a better skater than Foligno. Buffalo desperately needs more team speed, without sacrificing size.
Larsson, IMO, would really up his game playing alongside several more accomplished players from Sweden (especially Henrik Lundquist) while the Rangers regain a draft pick (after relinquishing several in trades the past 2 years). Sabres acquire an NHL winger who potted 17 goals last year and is butting heads with his coach this season.
Another idea...
Columbus acquire: Foligno, Kreider and 3rd round pick (BUF)
NY Rangers acquire: Larsson, Atkinson and 5th round pick (BUF)
Buffalo acquire: Hayes and Rychel |

The gap between Foligno-Rychel and Larsson-Hayes are not mid round picks.
