I was probably the happiest fan in the city when we first acquired him. I watched his offensive flair in Montreal that was lost when he was traded for Scott Gomez. Unfortunately age, injuries or apathy have caught up and he can't keep up.

Kindl was a victim of Babcock's doghouse and never got out. When blashill took over this year he had kindl on the 1st PP unit early in the season. I agree that a depth dman is better than a depth forward but what we need is a roster spot.

Besides, DET has too many healthy forwards as is. Drew miller, Tomas junco and Andersson are all rotating in/out of lineup as is.

I would truly be surprised if we found any takers on the Higgins front.

If I was a betting man, he gets waived and that's the last the NHL sees of him.
