Wow. I know Kopitar's the man, but if this is what came out of all those months of negotiations, what were the Kings doing all that time? Kopi came out with max term and pretty much max dollar if we're being realistic.

Good for Kopitar; well deserved. Imo Stamkos shouldn't get 10mil per. Yes the Lightning made it to SC, but Stamkos did not win multiple, nor one Cup like Kane, Toewes, and Kopitar. I hope this deal lowers the cost of Stamkos

I agree with this, however, Stammer has had better point totals... although his point production seems to be dipping as of late. That being said, I still think he'll get 11+

What did you expect him to sign for?

Someone's going to sign Stamkos to a 7 year contract with the highest AAV in the league and completely regret it.
