I don't know if another team can top that Show.
The whole event was phenomenal.
It will be interesting to see what L.A. does.

Congrats Nashville .. Great weekend ... Had so much fun here ... Even Buttman couldn't ruin it ... Country music and hockey go together like mashed potatoes and gravy... The whole downtown thing and the people are fantastic... Cheers !

Now a note to the NHL.
To build on the John Scott story, I have an idea.

Have each team have a "non-allstar" on the team. A player who best exemplifies sportsmanship, generosity or simply being the best community person from the NHL family. Give the fans one player who gives back.

The NHL can make good will stories of each of these players. Example was the Joel Ward story and his being a Big Brother to a by who needed a hand up. The young man now helps out in the Nashville dressing room and is poised to graduate high school (first in his family) and is now looking at colleges to attend.
Joel Ward can play hockey. Is he as good as a Patrick Kane or an Ovechkin, no but he is an NHL player. To even get considered for the NHL is awesome. To play there you need a ton of skill.

Seems like an easy win-win for the NHL. Personalized these players. The other players love these guys. Embrace it and market it to death. We need more of this in our society.

Can't believe that Kane got booed at an All Star game. Stupid Philly fans, can't even behave like civilized people for an All Star game. They have the only bad fans in North American sports, a bunch of jerks.

Oh wait, it was in Nashville? Nah, can't have been, they have fans who wouldn't boo a guy at a friendly, fun exhibition game.

Great job Nashville, great fans!!

I couldn't agree more about the idea and Joel Ward being a great example. With Scott appearing, the weekend seemed to be less about just skill and more of a celebration of the sport as a whole.

Obviously crushes you to know that a town besides the hallowed few entrenched in your narrow-minded view could not only pull off the event but do so and be placed on the all-time All-Star pinnacle.

I lived in Nashville for a few years, and attended a lot of Predators games. I was always telling my friends/family up north how great of a hockey city Nashville really was. I am glad that this weekend really showcased that, and opened a lot of people's eyes to it.

If you ever have the chance to take a weekend and go watch your team (or any team) play in Nashville, you should! Great place to watch a game, and right as you exit after the game, you're surrounded by bars, cowboy boots, and lovely ladies.

If you take away John Scott, the whole weekend wasnt that entertaining. Mediocre at best.

Mike Gartners record being broken was a scam as well.

Should let Hussein Bolt run 90 meters instead of 100 next olympics just so he can break a record. What a farce.

Plenty of empty seats. B-List country singers. Fake records.

They tried too hard to make it a country thing when Nashville products tons of other music genres too. That's why it's the music city not the country bullpoop music city.
