Can't play an entire period on half a sheet of ice. The way they packed in when the goalie was pulled was awful. Pack in like that and the shot gets through ridiculous

3 point game hurts.

McDonough punch totally worth it despite horrible call.

Mase still looks fracking terrible in the shootout. Did he even move on the last shot?

Cousins did *shoulder shrug* in my opinion. Made a couple nice passes, drew a couple penalties. His line was still the worst possession line this game, and he didn't even see much ice during the third period shellacking.

I am still baffled why they had him called up to do all this when Weal is sitting in the presser. They may very well be interchangeable players, but I'm still at a loss why he got first crack. Cousins is chippier, Weal is quicker in the feet and hands. Maybe Cousins is viewed as better defensively? Not sure about that one considering his prior usage. It's just so so odd.

Gagner had a good showcase game if he's getting shopped, which he probably is. His best game since early in the season.

3rd or 4th would be nice. I'm ok with anything really. Just clear the roster clutter.

He must come into practice reeking of B.O. and pot and booze. Probably got caught defecating in Hakstol's office too.

it is possible the coach doesn't like what he sees form weal in practice no? Whats so hard to understand?

Cousins is their own home grown player and has earned his call up. agaim whats hard to understand? Maybe they feel cousins role in the nhl will be a 3rd or 4th line guy. Yeah it is so odd.

They should be embarrassed at how passive they played in the third. Easiest way to lose games with a lead is to sit back.

Also, I'm really glad that they're coached to handle a 6v5 like a PK and not pressure at all....given that they're an abysmal PK team.

So are the Flyers sellers at this point? I mean no one sees them as a legit Cup contender even if they do somehow squeak in. I hope Hextall gets some more draft picks in this draft.

Personally, I saw him draw two penalties. Some pest like plays, a good pass or two. It's not like I don't like Cousins as a long term bottom six player, but I didn't think he was such a world beater he had to be called up to play 2.5C or whatever he was. Just my two cents.

That is a head scratcher ...Raffl really had to be out further on Yandle....if he doesn't want to block shots he shouldn't be on the ice...that's 3 games in th last 7-8 that they have given away point late in the third....tough to make playoffs with games like that.

In today's NHL.....it's really about the top 9.... I think he has the skill to fit somewhere in there....maybe not in Philly.

no matter how bad the Flyers are it still sucks to lose to the Rangers...the Flyers should be in good shape in a couple of years with more talented players

His feet are what scare me. He is just a poor skater for being undersized. He's worked on skating supposedly, but there's only so much he can do. He has good vision, good hands, and is just a little poop to play against haha. But I'm just not as high on Cousins as some. They have a quicker, more experienced Cousins already on the roster that for reasons unknown is persona non grata. That's what baffles me. It's not like Cousins didn't do OK today though...

I think, strictly focusing on the long term, that I would prefer them to be sellers at this point. This isnt a Cup contender. Its a marginal playoff team with no depth.

Why wasn't Ghost with G and V in overtime?

so a match penalty that Simmonds was called for gets an automatic hearing?

Will they do this tonight since they have another matinee game tomorrow?

I'd sell as much D as possible save for Ghost, MDZ and Gudas(for now). Between Streit, Schultz and Medvedev they should at worst be be able to come away with a couple of 2nds and 3rds.

Maybe they can get a little something for Ganger too. Like a 4th.

Wouldn't be that hard to imagine Hexy walking away from this deadline with four extra picks.

He started it with them but towards the end of OT Gotisbehere had been out a while and was tired when G and Jake came on, so they went with #32
