No mention of the blandisi embellishment? No mean of how great Cory was? Blandisi has some learning to do. Turns the puck over too much and vets hammered with these embellishment calls.

Yea his dive was a little ridiculous. I was watching hockey night and JR said something to the affect of..enough of this soccer pansy diving stuff. This is a man's sport....funny and true

Overall, good effort by the Devils. They were the much hungrier team out there.

But I'm confused at why NYR fans are mad about the Powerplays, or lack thereof?

Last time these teams squared off at the Garden it was 5 power plays for the Rangers to 0 for the Devils.

I did mention Schneider, and what would you like me to say about Blandisi? He dove and got a penalty for it. Who cares?

We should punish one of our most productive offensive players ? I get that he needs to stop but you are acting as if he is in the same boat as dirty players who are going out trying to hurt players what blandisi is doin needs to be corrected but he isn't a goon and if he doesn't get called for that who knows players try to draw penalties all the time but because his first one was so ridiculous he will never get away with something lots of players do.

Almost every player does it someone always has to be sour about the Devils.

Meh, thought they only missed 1, doesn't really matter anyway, after the 1st, you guys dominated the play. Rangers deserved to lose

Blandisi is 21, yes 21, years old. He has shown immaturity with his embellishment but his skill (those two passes last night for example) far exceeds his shortcomings. He needs to grow up, but who didn't at that age? He's been the bright spot of this team (outside of Cory) this season. The biggest lotto ticket, found money hit the Devils have had since the Rafalski pilfer.

I think its more because it came so close after the hilarious one against the Flyers. He will learn though. I'm sure his teammates and coach have already talked to him.

None of us will ever see a game called perfectly for any of our teams. The refs are consistently inconsistent. But it is what it is. Aside from some of the holes that Jan says the blue shirts have, they still have a team to make moves in the playoffs...I mean, I hope they don't of course

I wouldn't expect any different.

And any Rangers fans blaming or complaining about the refs for the loss last night need to give their head a shake.

Its just a little concerning for us how bad they have played vs you guys and the Isles this year. Devils & Isles seem to get up for these games and Rangers are just blah.

Yea I dipped over there to Jan's page and wanted to comment but figured it wouldn't lead to a hockey conversation. It sucks when it happens and could be the cause of the effort, or lack thereof. It's hockey, poop happens, teams lose focus and play like crap some nights. Top teams just beast through bad officiating and win anyway..

Bad officiating is not what caused last night's loss for the Rangers.

Devils outplayed them for the better part of forty minutes.

Great game last night for you guys.

I just said on the Rangers' blog, that on paper, its hard to imagine that the Devils are challenging for a playoff spot. But, they play very good team hockey, they work exceptionally hard, they don't give you much space, and they do those things in front of the best goaltenders in hockey. They remind me of the early Torts' Rangers teams.

So honestly, what does Shero do now??

If they win against Columbus and TB, does hope getting Cammalleri back will help maybe push this team into a Wild Card birth?

I honestly don't see it given they still have road games NSH, Dal, SJ, LA, ANA, TB and PITT. Regardless, its been a hell of a year and I think most fans can say we finally have something that could look like a legit contender if the right moves are made.

They can certainly handle their own much better then most thought at the beginning of the season, myself Included. Devs-Rangers is always tough regardless of where each team is at in the standings. Last night just made us all here clench a little tighter and hope for a playoff sniff.

I do find it kind of comical that you guys are sitting in second and some fans on the board over there still flip out and can't handle a single loss. I wish we had those problems right now

Even though they have a pretty good road record I kind of want them to lose the next 2 since we probably won't sell if we get 2 or 3 pts out of them. Does that make me a bad fan?
