Great blog as usual. It will be a busy next few days. I Just don't want to see any youth or prospects dealt by JB. Especially added picks. |

Where the hell is Chicago getting all these assets for trading (picks, prospects etc). Surely after three Stanley Cup runs the cupboard must be bare by now? I never believed that it was the Bowmans that put together the mini-dynasty, as I feel they inherited a pretty much loaded team. However, perhaps I was wrong, in that Bowman (Stan) is quite savvy after all? Thoughts? |

Carlson had surgery, out a month. Laich on waivers. Hamhuis is now the perfect fit in Washington. |

I thought they had used up a lot of picks in the prior cup runs? |

They play different sides, but you're spot on otherwise. Hamhuis would be a solid addition for WAS |

It is a delicate balancing act.
Win cup, can't afford a rfa or player under contract like Saad who has increased value because they are young and won a cup, trade for picks prospects, sign players that might take a discount to play with a contending team, make moves at tdl with your accumulated picks, prospects, rinse and repeat...
And say feck it and go all in when you think you have a good chance to make another cup run.
Good seeing you Z. |

Not sure if WAS is on his list, was a bit surprised to hear Pitts was on the list, thought he would want to play a little closer to home and timezone.
just saw this in another twitter feed, don't think he is media, so take it for what it is worth... more than likely speculation, so...
John@NucksfanJohnny
@OrcaNucks Vrbata already given a list of 8 teams, canucks can retain salary (only 6 weeks of pay left not much at all) Hammer will waive |

Earlier tweet suggested that Laich on waivers to make room for Beagle from LTIR. Their cap situation is fuzzy. If Canucks took Laich (one more year at $4.5) maybe a deal could get done. |

They are giving up 2018 picks mostly and lower end prospects that most likely won't end up being much ...they have to be extremely thin now though with giving up the first rounder and dano |

Back to the last blog.
Bring back one of the Country Club members.
Even though most hate Torts here , he was inside the room and said This is a stale core. It should have been changed years ago.
If we bring back our current four Hamhuis Tanev Edler Hutton .
There goal totals combined are lower than Giordanos . This team has the worst D scoring and second worst scoring as a team.
.
Their hit total hit numbers per year would probably be 200 combined.
Their tough guy to go answer the bell would still be Biega and Sbisa .
You have 17 mil approx. to fix problems . Time to get creative and find different answers |

That would eat away at next years cap hit . Then we have Burrows Higgins and Laich to deal with , no thanks |

With Carlson out now I'm sure they can make the cap work without us taking Laich. |

What if it was Bowey and a 1st? Higgins is already in AHL. Burrows could easily find himself there next year... |
