The lowdown is I am ecstatic this heartless, effortless, lazy, player is off our team. And for a 3rd? Great. I would've given you guys a 7th to take him |

have fun hugging your nr 1 overall pick again |

Good move , worth the gamble, although not really much of a gamble 3rd pick plus Oilers retaining money. Looks like Penguins are going to try and outscore everyone n I don't tthink that is a bad strategy for them. |

Ya but Shultz is an offensive D that provides no offence, or D for that matter. |

There's a lottery for the 1st 3 picks this year. If we have the worst record we're only guaranteed 4th. |

It's a low risk move. If Schultz sucks then Pens don't keep him. I hope they can move Cole, Zatkoff, Plotnikov for something back. |

I'm fine with the deal. Schultz had a lot of expectations when he signed with Edmonton. Here he doesn't have that. Sometimes players just need a change of scenery. If it doesn't work out then they can move on. |

if they can move Plot and Zats for picks, this deal looks even better. I know Kunitz has been better, but I am ok with them trading him at this point...I know Sid will be upset, but logo first. |

Low risk move. I like it. Adds to depth and if he turns it around it's a plus. Cole, zatkoff and Plot hopefully will be moved to recoup that 3rd rounder or get us a few depth picks. |

Tyson Barre on waivers, would he be a good depth D? Cole would def have to be moved. Same cap hit |

I just don't know who Kunitz could be traded to while at the same time improving the team. It's obvious we aren't sellers at this deadline. If anything I see him moved at the draft.
Edit: LA looking for a forward and dman, don't seem to be in on Boedker. Cole + Kunitz? They would both be solid adds for them. Still don't know what we would want back from them. |

They would move kuni now instead of at draft better value of teams needing him. |

This is true, although acquiring Schultz means we haven't thrown in the towel and we aren't sellers. |

What are the Pens doing? They have traded away much of the past and future draft picks. Their recent addition of Shultz adds a player who never reached his potential since he entered the NHL. This year he has been awful. The Pens will be fortunate to get past the first round. They have 4-5 world class players. The rest wouldn't stand out in the AHL.
The Pens will be in serious trouble in 3-4-5 years. Sid and Geno 30+. Phat Phil will have eaten himself out of the league |
