Good morning Carol….I hope you get out to enjoy the sunny day! Beautiful here in Victoria. |

I disagree with the 3rd wheel in a Sedin deal. A man likes to make it on his own. He is only holding himself back from any deal. Edler is a great player the sky is the limit. He needs to except that in himself and make a choice if asked. Men need to get out of there comfort sone and its quite clear that this core needs that. |

I'm not sure that's Edler's personality, though. I've heard it said that he's so shy, he really relies on the twins to insulate him from the media etc.
That makes me think it'd be enough for a reason for him to refuse to waive his NTC.

Yes, it's beautiful here too.
I have a college basketball liveblog on my agenda at 11:00, then hope to get out for a bit before a whole bunch of stats later on. Big sports days for me... |

Yep, heard that (1040), not sure if it was Kuzma, McIntyre or another reporter who had spoke about Edler and team mates running interference so he doesn't have to deal with the media and attention.
Not sure what his plans are when the Sedins retire...

Excellent blog CS . I really liked your analysis of the crowded blue line |

Curious about tree ...what is his foot speed like ? |

Glad to see them leaving Boeser alone where he has beeen successful, there's no room for him next season anyways, he might as well have fun, take some classes, get in good shape. I really like the players that come out of NCAA, lots of hockey smarts.
I'm hoping Gaunce gets in tonight, and plays a bit better than thursday. |

Trade him to Detroit so one of the other Hendriks can look after him |

If Tryamkin can really play RHD he would be a good pairing with Edler on the second unit. Relieve some of the pressure on Edler. Let him relax a little not having to be the guy..
I would look at a big upgrade on Tanev . He is the man that is a lot easier to move and would also get a nice return. Yes Florida we are looking at you. |

I'd stick him with Hutton, go for broke and hope for chemistry for years. Then leave the edler/tanev pairing if WD is so hung up on it :p
moving tanev would be a mistake, unless its for an upgrade on him, like hamonic or something. |

Any chance we move Sbisa and eat salary?
Interesting that Tryamkin is a lefty that plays on the right side... wondering if he has been scouted while playing on different size rinks? I think the KHL has some NHL size and some larger surfaces... |

What are you hoping to get in return ?
Also my tree comment was based on a big D man playing on big ice ...might be a bit of a learning curve when he first gets over here |

during some games too...
(srry, too easy, I don't think Edler is the problem on defense) |

I dont believe Sbisa is that unshoppable, he's grown on me, I know a lot of people dont like his contract. He's got a big shot (doesnt hit the net much tho), hits hard, his biggest fault is he is too aggressive sometimes which imo isnt a bad thing to have. If we are trading a d man, its gotta be edler, I like our other guys... they just havent been enough. |

This team has been much better in their own zone (maybe not in the third) the last 10 games since edler has been injured though. Hutton is proving, that even as a rookie, his mistakes are less egregious and less common than Edlers.
(edit)I'm pretty much sold on hamhuis/edler leaving this team, even unknowns like pedan/tree/subban/Larson will be much more enjoyable to watch |
