Great game last night. Congrats to any Villanova fans/alums. What a game, what a win.

Jim Nantz has to get over himself. Presenting Archi with his tie after the game? Really? What an ego-maniac. Hopefully the Arch is wearing the tie around his head when he's doing keg stands back at campus.

I'm calling for a new tradition at the Masters, instead of the winner being awarded the Green Jacket in Butler Cabin, how bout Nantz presents them with his boxer shorts?

Thank goodness we have Medvedev sitting around doing now thanks to the Coaching prowess of Dave Hakstol. This guy never should have sat this long in my opinion.

Yes, two heavyweights slugging it out with two clutch shooters at the end. As there is nfw in heck I could root for either team that's all I'll say.

I'll admit it. I was smiling for a few reasons as I read Bill's blog today.

What channel was Nantz on? I would have rather seen that then listen to the Carolina team call the game on TNT or TBS that I watched on. I kept thinking, "man do these guys realize how unprofessional they sound? Their totally in the bag for the Tar Heels."

It was only after, that I realized that it was their feed.

It will be interesting to see whether Hakstol puts Medvedev with Ghost, or brings back pairings from earlier in the season.

Nantz/Raftery/G. Hill were on TBS, the Carolina team feed was on TNT, and the Nova team feed was on TRU TV.

Why not give Sanheim a shot at McDonald's spot? Could he be that much worse defensively than Medvedev? Maybe another shot of youth and speed is what this team needs.

I am more comfortable with Manning and Gostisbehere together. Not a fan of Medvedev with him.

I wonder if Laughton slides back into the lineup. I know it probably won't happen but not sure he gives anything less then Read is giving you right now.

Dude - there were like a hundred notifications that there were three feeds for the game - national and a homer one for each school.

Exactly. Say what you will but Medvedev is a veteran who has played big games under big pressure in his career.

You are including Flyers management in the "Amac hater" category right? They were the ones who decided to pay him 60k per game to play for the Phantoms.

Sure would be nice if the Phantoms were going to be in the playoffs. That would give guys like Lindblom, Willcox, Sanheim, Fazleev and NAK even more of a chance to get AHL experience.

Hextall must be looking hard at the coaching staff in Allentown, just like he looked hard at Berube after the Flyers missed the playoffs last season.

One of the best games I've ever seen in any sport. Both teams playing at such a high level. UNC has more talent, but those Nova kids are tough as nails.

Hopefully Medvedev steps up. Of course him being cold isn't going to help anything, which is why I was saying he should have gotten the occasional game down the stretch. It's not news that injuries happen.

Did Hagg underperform this season with the Phantoms?

Hasktol had an "earn your spot" approach to training camp, and he didn't earn it. They weren't "hating" on him as much as he didn't warrant a spot. They also called him up above everyone else and have praised his play since. How is that "hating?"

And said all the while they would rather have him with the big club.

It will be interesting how he assesses that stuff. Had some real clunkers during their critical stretch. He did hand pick the head coach though

Yes, he could be worse. He'd probably be better with the puck, but I'll take the 30+ year old veteran over the kid who's played 0 pro games.
