If we remain 8th, trade the pick. I'm sure you can get a damn good return for it.

Currently, TM believes the talent level from 4-11 is about the same. Don't go much farther than that.

They can't pick worse than 11, and to pick that late would mean teams in the 9-14 win a lottery spot, bumping Buffalo back.

Good Blog. I will be watching the goal tending situation closely. There does seem to be quite a few in the system. Not sure if Johnson will even be offered a contract, not that he doesn't deserve one, but there are so many goaltenders in the system.

I look forward to the off season. It will be a big off season in that the changes/additions Murray makes will likely put him more under the microscope than ever before.

The expectations will be at an all-time high for this team to make the playoffs next season.

Time to sit back and get the popcorn ready!

What is up with all these players talking to media about ice time and not liking contracts? If I told my boss that I hated my job/demanded more pay/said I couldn't wait to find a new job...I would be kindly asked to leave. I know that things are said behind closed doors and to coaches and GMS, but to a reporter? If the anyone had any balls they would have sat him for the rest of the year and then congratulated him on his new found freedom on clean out day. The younger generation do not earn things...they feel entitled to everything.

They both made the playoffs. I think their goalies are doing just fine.

EDMONTON SUN: Jim Matheson speculates if Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli trades winger Nail Yakupov “it’ll likely be for a bigger body at forward who plays a different style. Maybe somebody like Marcus Foligno in Buffalo, along with a draft pick.”
SPECTOR’S NOTE: After putting up 20 points in 57 games last season, the 24-year-old Foligno regressed this season with only 23 in 75 games. Perhaps this could be a swap of two players in need of a change of scenery.

They, like all Canadian teams this year were generous and gave their playoff position to a different team, to which i am not upset about at all.

Sorry Miller no hard feelings

Well with this i say

8th pick to Anaheim for one of the D-men and their first
Trade Anaheims first+ Girgensons to Montreal for Pacioretty
Trade Foligno and two 3rds to EDM for YAK
Trade Ennis for a 2016 or 2017 first
Trade Franson (Hold 750K) for a 3/4
Sign Erikkson to a 5 year 28MM deal

Kane - ROR - Eriksson
Reinhart- Eichel - Pacioretty
YAK - Larsson - Gionta
Deslauries - COR - ???

Risto - Anaheim trade
McCabe - Bogosian
Pysyk - Nelson
Gorges?

I think your first two trades a little bit aggressive, to the point of unrealistic. Everything else is feasible

Just saying, the older generation is the one that raised them to be that way. Kids never bought themselves participation trophies
