Being new to Ice Hockey, I thought the Home Team wore Dark Jerseys. Were the first 2 games split between Tampa and Detroit ?

Not trying to be offensive, but how could DET be in the convo for Stammer with Pavel still on the team? If pavel was gone already then maybe, and there is still time, but even with him gone you guys have cap issues. Brad Richards goes right away. But Dekeyser, Sheahan, Marchenko, Mrazek and Helm are good hockey players and won't be taking ELC grade price tags anymore. IMO Stammer will want a double digit (million) salary and that would leave you guys sitting at 66m before signing any of the previously mentioned players, Quincey, Pulk, or Miller. Not saying it is impossible, but I wouldn't say the Red Wings are some huge threat to sign him yet. If Pavel is traded, then I would count you guys as a front runner, but not until then.

I don't get it. Last week Garf says the Red Wings are one of the three teams "on the rise". Along with TB and Buf. Never mind TB were in the Cup finals last year, so they aren't exactly on the rise. Detroits top players are 35-37 years old. Makes sense
Of course the Sabres are his third team. And they will be signing Vessey (friends with Jackson Eichel), trading for Karlsson (giving up spare parts and a pair of 2nds), trading for Fowler (for overpaid and injured Ennis). Finally the will be signing Stamkos because he'd love to leave Tampa for winters in North Tondawanda.

It's not coming from me - heard the Wings mentioned on WGR, The Fan and HNIC. Trading Howard to a team in the West that fails in the 1st round will be a key to them entering the Stamkos sweepstakes. Franzen has pretty much retired - so he'll be LTIR'ed. The Wings will also need to find places for Mantha, Pulkkinen, Ouellet and Svechnikov to play. This will impact on what they do with resigning the likes of Quincey and Miller etc.
