I have a deep rooted connection to this team. I'm sure most of us on this site do.
I don't know about you guys, but tonight- just this one night- I wish I didn't. This is just so utterly awful...demoralizing.
The fans and players turned a night to honor Mr. Snider into one that'll live in infamy in Flyerdom. |

The future is bright. Provorov, Sanheim, Morin, Lindblom, and Konecny, right guys? Their time will come. |

I feel bad for level-headed (sure there are very few) flyers fans. Throwing the wrist bands onto the ice that were handed out as a part of the ceremony for their teams founder, just the epitome of classlessness. Just got to be embarrassing and not just from a hockey point of view. |

Do they have strong throwing arms?

Agreed.
Can handle the blow out. Will be hard to watch game 4/funeral.
The brackets on the ice was an utter disgrace tho. |

Lots of stuff to be embarrassed about on the ice, but I'm mostly embarrassed by the behavior of our fans.
It's bad enough to throw anything on the ice, but of all things, to throw those memento bracelets that were intended to honor the best owner this city ever had ... that's just pathetic beyond words.
A close second would be the actions of White and Gudas, who just started throwing punches for no reason at all, after the Bellemare hit. I hope both of them are suspended.
The hit, I don't think, was intentional ... Bellemare isn't that kind of player. The only good thing out of that whole incident is Bellemare seemed to be genuinely concerned about Orlov, and stood over him for a moment.
I hope the Caps end it on Wednesday. |

Not that it matters, but I do think that was an accident. I think what happened was Bellemare tried to ride him into the boards, then for whatever reason (coulda been the toe of Bellemare, even) Orlov looked like he lost an edge.
The act of riding someone to the boards to pin them and start a trench battle is basically a little push from behind. Unfortunately, it caught Orlov off balance and he fell. |

I'll watch Game 4 for the same reason I watch any other game -- to see hoped-for adjustments and improvements by young players and coaches and veterans
Tonight was a tough night. So was Buffalo in 2006, or the Bruins series of three goalies in 2011, or Roman Cechmanek imploding against Ottaws
You play long enough, poop happens
Every other team in the league who makes it into the playoffs has meltdowns at one point or another |

I said it earlier -- no defending the hit itself, but I honestly thought Orlov was going to peel off, too
Bellemare effed it up and is going to pay a price. But I don't think he expected Orlov to go straight for the boards from the blue line, then try to stop |

I hope the Flyers are checking the video, and are able to identify some of these f*cking idiots who threw the wristbands. |

regardless of how you may or may not feel about the wristband throwing, the "now you've done it" is beyond rich. |

It was despicable. Like GIG said, I was ashamed to be a Flyers fan tonight. Only time I think I can ever say that.
And frankly I'm glad the Caps kept scoring. Run it up on them. They deserved it based on their play and behavior. |

Why wouldn't you? It's not like you have any playoff games of the Leafs to watch since, what, color television was invented? |

I was anticipating a memorable game from the Flyers, or at least one the players could be proud of. I really feel for any of the Flyers fans who watched that. |

... and what a dope Ryan White is, who was asked about the wristbands being thrown, and said "I probably would have done the same thing."

Leafs fans coming out of the wood work tonight. No matter how much we suck it's nowhere near as bad as you buffoons latching onto any team that is currently doing their best Leafs impersonation. |

Bellemare is not a dirty player. Not by any stretch of the imaginary. But he had every chance to avoid that play. I think frustration got the better of him there. He was genuinely concerned after the hit which is at least nice to see.
Also, Ryan White's comments after the game show me that he is a person in which the moment is too big for. If he can't grasp why Flyers fans are upset, like I've seen most on here aside from 2real, and what those bracelets symbolized than he really is an idiot. |
