Legwand is a good guy to have if you're a young team about to get back to the playoffs. I'd like to see him stay at a reduced salary, and D-Law moved or demoted.

maybe Gionta and gorges will be enough veteran leadership...the youth movement is upon us and they're gonna have players like carrier and bailey knocking on the door next season...maybe even Rodrigues as well...schaller also...he's paid his dues and will get an nhl shot somewhere if he isn't re-signed by buffalo...

I'd throw legwand 1.5 for 1 year and let him decide if he will remain a sabre

I am surprised you are not freaking out about 2014 draft picks being unsigned

If you feel Schaller can hack it, it may be in the best interest of the franchise to let him get promoted. Not only do I think he would be just as good as Legwand, but it would show the youngins that those who stick it out for the long haul get rewarded. There is going to be a log jam coming soon...good to show this now so that the ones that take longer to get their shot don't lose heart.

I don't have to worry with Tim here ....Darcy would do it the last minute and piss me off

I wasn't a fan of the signing at first but it grew on me as I watched him play. He was excellent with the kids and they said he helped them a lot. Sign him again on the cheap and give him another year to work with the young guns. His experience only helps in the long run.

Legwand did his job admirably but his ship has sailed and it's time to let one of the younger guns take his 4th line spot on the roster. Georges, Gionta, ROR and Stamkos can provide the veteran leadership.
