I don't think it's the single draft pick people are worried about, I think it's more the big picture, the process of building thru the draft vs the build/fix on the fly method.

Gudbranson is gonna be a great addition, no question, I just hope Benning can recoup a few picks and continue to draft well because the top six center position needs some serious attention three years down the road.

If Benning goes out and takes a defence man at 5 after he traded for Guddy I think many on here will lose their $hit. I will only be happy with 3 specific players and if it isn't one of those players I will be with lefty calling for Bennings head.

Tryamkin was a third round pick. I still think we will have a great draft in the later rounds . I expect Benning to find a nugget in the later rounds

Two.....if you're talking good picks that'll make an impact down the road. If you believe the draft history. Three would be better but Gudbranson will take some of the heat off Benning, because he's gonna be a beast!

I think we're seeing that Jim has decided to look to both college and Europe as a better chance to get a lore developed prospect pool than through the regular draft. Who knows if the success rate is higher or not but I'll give him credit to at least chase this avenue more maybe we have in the past.
